The Rockets have more depth this year, they actually have Yao opposed to him being out the whole year, and they will finish 11th and last in the SW division? Chris Sheridan obviously loves the depth, some explanations are a bit to sketchy from these guys, I think the Rockets are playoff bound 100%. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/preview2010/news/story?page=Predictions1011-Rockets
YugoRocketsFan
Yeah Rockets are heading into the season as underdogs once again, some guys actually told me that we would be lucky to win 45 games. Nobody understands how good we are, so just wait for the season to begin then we can show them.
Check my Stats
Low playoff seed at best, they don't even have an all-star on their team, how can you pencil them in as a playoff team already?
htown11
Low playoff seed at best, they don't even have an all-star on their team, how can you pencil them in as a playoff team already? Well they did win 42 games without an all-star last year and with a 6'6 center right in the heart of the paint. Now they have a limited Yao, a potent scorer who shows all signs of having a fantastic year in Kevin Martin, and have brought back key pieces from last year. So looking at the roster now, the Rockets only added and hardly lost anything significant. It makes sense for them to be in the playoffs, they have a very deep rotation and offensive players who will do great under Adelman. They brought back Lowry, and Scola made a trade that acquired Courtney Lee who seems to be a great fit over the pricey and unpredictable Trevor Ariza. They signed Brad Miller who still has a bit left in the tank and they are stacked with potential at the forward spot. They have lots of work to do and still need to gel but I think it's completely safe to pencil them in as a playoff team because they have all the pieces to make the playoffs. Health and defense are the two biggest worries for this team.

Easily, we're just better than everyone else but the Lakers.

You're forgetting just how good this team was. 2 years ago the Rockets were one game removed from stealing the #2 seed and also took the Lakers to their second 7 game series in 3 years without their star player for half the series. Not to mention this year's team is better than it was 2 year ago. Edited October 23, 2010 by Dash
