Check my Stats
what'll you do for your sports fix? EDIT: I have to be honest, I know nothing about the NFL's situation, I just saw on a sports program this morning that there is a serious possibility of an NFL lockout next year, I could be totally off base here. Phightins
Considering I like MLB and NHL better than either of them, I will be OK .

Lkr
NFL won't have a lockout. It is way too profitable or both sides
Make It Naaaashty
I would be devastated, NFL and the NBA are the only two sports I'm a hardcore fan of.
Phightins
NFL won't have a lockout. It is way too profitable or both sides One would think. But from what I am reading it doesn't look good.
kingfish
NBA wont either, I think the Heat might have saved the NBA.
EastCoastNiner
From what I have heard, if there is a lockout, it will only be through training camp because the players wouldn't want to have to go to training camp, and then the season would start shortly after. Dash
I would probably watch more MLS, English Premiere League and Champions League soccer. College basketball/football make decent substitutes and there is always wrestling.

fish7718
Yeah NFL has the best chance of a lock out, and although it's hard to believe that a company to pulls in over 6 billion dollars a year would take a year off. neither side isn't really showing any sides of cracking. NBA def has a problem too. I'd be mad without NFL and NBA my winters would definitely be empty, I'd probably start following a hockey team and watch some more television programs. Multi-Billionaire
I do think there's going to be a lockout... Stern wants salaries cut of 30% which is an insane amount. This is no $50-100 million which could be otherwise be resolved quickly. $800 million difference between 2 sides? We will see a lock out. Multi-Billionaire
^They do, but the owners also desire to reduce payroll and cut their losses... Classic case of employers vs. employees fighting at the expense of the customers they serve (us/ NBA fans).

Multi-Billionaire
except the owners are the ones with all the leverage and both sides are just being unnecessarily greedy. bourgeoise vs proletariat!? "ALL"? No, if the owners had ALL the leverage, there would be no talk of lockout... Employers need employees too. They can't just "fire" these NBA players and say, "since you don't like our proposed salaries, we will find talents elsewhere". These NBA players are their ONLY employees. That's the employees' leverage: they know they can't be replaced.
