Sun Tzu
Who is going to start at the Center position for the Oklahoma City Thunder on openning night? Do you think Krstic will start, or Collison?
Owner Real Deal Posted October 25, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted October 25, 2010 I was assuming the five would be... C - KrsticPF - GreenSF - DurantSG - SefoloshaPG - Westbrook But you never really know. I haven't seen Collison play a single game yet, though, and I've watched every Thunder preseason game. TheHutch
Kristic. Collision is out 3 weeks. The Daily Oklahoman reports today that Collison could miss as much as three weeks due to continuing problems with his left leg which has kept him out the preseason with a stress fracture. Collison says he could play through it but wants to take his time. Link But I love Serge Ibaka. He is a PF/C, but dude is a blocking machine. Love watching him play and I think he has huge upside. fish7718
Yeah i'm with Hutch what up with Serge? Does he not have the build to play C? Or is just experience? because hes obv the most talented C they have besides maybe Aldrich

Or is just experience? because hes obv the most talented C they have besides maybe Aldrich He does get into foul trouble a lot, and I think he is more of that energy guy off the bench i.e. Varejao type of player than a starter like Krstic who can hit the J. moeroadkill
ibaka is not a center he isnt the best man to man defender but he is a great help defender however. he is ripped but his not a big guy and he doesnt like to bang down low. brooks tends to put ibaka on the weaker PF/C on the opposing team which allows him to roam somewhat im not sure if Krstic is still injured he did play in the last pre season game so im assuming his thumb or whatever it was will be/ is healed if krstic isnt starting i should be cole and not ibaka, ibaka and green do not work on the floor is a disaster i line up wont change at all unless cole turns into a huge beast, at least for this season

Owner Real Deal Posted October 25, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted October 25, 2010 You dont think Harden will start over Sefolosha this year? It's still in the air, but I think they need to stick with their defensive player. Harden is probably better coming off the bench...OKC has to have a volume scorer in that second unit, and that's what they hope Harden will become. Along with Maynor and Peterson, the bench unit needs to score the ball efficiently, and Harden will be able to help with that. If they don't start Thabo, it'll be Kobe time when the Thunder play the Lakers. Thabo was arguably a top three perimeter defender in the NBA (I'd stick him behind Artest, for sure).
