Sun Tzu
The Timberwolves are investigating whether Martell Webster was significantly injured when they acquired him from the Trail Blazers this offseason. Portland dealt Webster to Minnesota for the 16th overall pick in June's NBA Draft. Webster on Monday underwent surgery to repair a disk in his back and is expected to miss about six weeks. He said the injury dates back to last postseason. Newman
A draft pick, really? Come on, don't they do medicals before making trades anyway?
sas45champs
The Wolves are just a mess. Thank God they have a future in Johnson, Flynn, and Rubio when he comes over. So, the Wolves establish that they are in rebuild mode when they trade Kevin Garnett for Al Jefferson, who is posed as the franchise player, and some draft picks. I thought that was a step in the right direction, but why would they go ahead and trade Jefferson as well? Just for more draft picks and Koufos? And why would they even trade their 16th pick for Webster, since it seems all they are looking to do is get more draft picks? Webster's not gonna be anything special. I think the Wolves are seriously trying to bomb themselves into a top 5 pick each year.
Dash
I don't get what is so laughable about this. If the Blazers were actually withholding information about Webster's injury then they should be punished. Dr. Feelgood
But the Blazers aren't holding any information about Webster. I laughed when I first saw the Wolves investigating this and I laughed harder when I read this update.
