The Regime
The Cavaliers are receiving a number of inquires about hustling forward Anderson Varejao. According to Bob Finnan of The News-Herald, Cleveland doesn't plan to trade Varejao unless they struggle more so than expected. http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/69877/20101101/cavs_getting_calls_about_varejao/
The Lone Granger
I actually wouldn't be surprised if one of those teams were the Pacers trying to acquire a legit starting power forward. However, I don't see Cleveland dealing him off this year. They actually look fairly decent, and assuming they are still competing for a playoff spot at the deadline, then they won't dealing him. During the offseason it wouldn't surprise me if he isn't back, but this year I have a gut feeling that he'll be with the Cavs for the remainder of the year. Owner Real Deal Posted November 1, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted November 1, 2010 If they want to play less defense, they'll deal him.
Check my Stats
I bet it's the Raptors Varejao and Jamison for our TPE and picks, book it.
headliner
I bet it's the Raptors Varejao and Jamison for our TPE and picks, book it.I personally wouldn’t want the Raptors to waste their trade exception on them.
The Lone Granger
Varejao 'Happy' Being With Cavaliers Anderson Varejao's name has popped up in trade rumors, but the forward says he's happy with the Cavaliers. "I'm happy here," he said. "This is my seventh season (in Cleveland). I love this city. I'm good with everything. This is just the beginning. We've played three games. Let's see how things go." http://www.realgm.com/images/nba/4.2/profiles/photos/2006/Varejao_Anderson_cle.jpg Varejao told his agent, Dan Fegan, before the season that he wanted to remain in Cleveland. Reports have indicated that the Cavaliers have received calls about the forward. http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/69891/20101102/varejao_happy_being_with_cavaliers/ Varejao loves it in Cleveland, and that's just another factor that makes me think that they both will not, and should not deal him. He wants to stay and help contribute and play hard to win games for the Cavs. He's also a fan favorite, so why would you want to move a player like that? Thoughts? Cleveland's Finest
Dan Gilbert is not going to make a move until this team has another few months to play so he can see what they look like. I doubt Verajao will go. Jamison could go as he looks like he doesn't want to be here, and he deserves a chance at a ring. Anyone could go, but I'd say Gibson, Sessions, Harris, Hollins, Hickson, and Verajao are likely to stay for awhile. I don't want us to trade anyone yet though.
