The Regime
Lakers guard Kobe Bryant says his surgically-repaired right knee is fully healed and he's tired of answering questions about it. Bryant told a FOX Sports West reporter that he is all the way back from offseason surgery to his right knee and didn't want to be asked about it again. He was later asked if the statement was correct. "Yes, so leave me the hell alone about my [expletive] knee," Bryant said. Lakers coach Phil Jackson doesn't agree with Bryant. He's not 100 percent, but that's nice of him to say it," the coach said. Bryant did not care for Jackson's assessment. "I'm 100 percent, I don't give a [expletive] what he says," Bryant said with a laugh. "Leave me alone about my knee. I'm fine." http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/69872/20101101/kobe_knee_is_100_percent/ He still not close to 100% imo, his speed and lift on jumpshots is still effected by that knee. I'll take Kobe's word for it though, if he can play through it effectively then I don't give a [expletive] lol. Owner Real Deal Posted November 1, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted November 1, 2010 He's lying. You can tell mostly on his lateral quickness (and Bryant hasn't had much of that over the last few seasons to begin with, but it's very evident this year) and a really flat shot due to not getting that extra lift (as mentioned already). GamerGuy
He told reporters he was 100% so they can stop asking how his knee is. He HATES talking about his injuries, and I think he finally just had enough of it. I'd say he's about 90% right now. Still missing some lift and lateral movement, but he's getting there.
