Pooh25
One NBA executive thinks the Heat could show interest in center Eddy Curry if he's let go by the Knicks at midseason, according to Alan Hahn of Newsday. "One NBA exec thinks Heat will quickly sign Curry if/when he's waived in March. His playoff drought (504 games) could end b4 Knicks does," Hahn wrote on his Twitter page. Via Alan Hahn/Newsday (via Twitter) Eddy Curry's playing days are over, IMO once he got traded over the the Knicks. The Heat would be better off without Curry with their current group of forwards/centers. The Heat should've signed Dampier, because he would have been great against the Shaq's/Howard's in the league, because Bosh can't guard them. NomarFachix
I just don't think Curry's talent is something you can dismiss or ignore. If he's motivated, in shape, and healthy, the dude is an absolute monster. Definite low risk/high reward move for the Heat, if they nab him. Owner Real Deal Posted November 1, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted November 1, 2010 ...why?
Check my Stats
The one thing he is actually half decent at, scoring, is the last thing Miami needs.... dumb report is dumb. If they wanted an out of shape big with lack of motivation, they would have just signed Dampier, at least he addresses their needs.
NomarFachix
To be fair, non-existent post scoring presence is non-existent.

Poe
YES, the Heat can TOTALLY use his post game! As well as his dominant rebounding, incredible athleticism, and not to mention his leadership by example with his tireless work ethic and disciplinary nutritional diet. I'm sure Pat Riley would accept him with open arms! Edited November 1, 2010 by Poe

NomarFachix
YES, the Heat can TOTALLY use his post game! Agree, off the bench it would be nice if Curry is right. As well as his dominant rebounding, incredible athleticism, and not to mention his leadership by example with his tireless work ethic and disciplinary nutritional diet. I'm sure Pat Riley would accept him with open arms! None of this is real... HEY! http://i52.tinypic.com/mw5ch0.jpg
NomarFachix
It's funny that you consider him any kind of talent. He is a complete wash and his time has long passed. He is a talent... That's not something I'd really say is debatable. He's a fat filthy slob, he has no motivation, doesn't work hard, and is oft-injured, leaving him generally useless... But to say he has no talent is ignorant. Dude posted 19.5 and 7 on 58% FG in his last healthy season on 35 MPG. As for long passed, he may be. Might not get another chance in the league, especially if he remains fat, unmotivated, and injury-prone. But he's only 27, he can turn it around if he wants to... "Wanting to" obviously being his problem. Edited November 1, 2010 by IllWill21

That one healthy season he had, Curry had really good season but that was years ago.
NomarFachix
You’re humorous! I nearly cried while reading that but I’ll give that he was a talent at some point and time. That one healthy season he had, Curry had really good season but that was years ago. I mean he had five straight productive seasons, but I guess you can narrow it down to one... It was years ago, and he's had injuries... Though none of them were major injuries, so it's not like he's crippled by them. Even if he were, his strength is post position, moves, and overpowering the defender. That's not the same as a guy like T-Mac who lost his legs and now has nothing left... Curry is the same guy he was, he's just always playing himself out of any potential rotation shot because he's got these nagging injuries and he's, well, voluptuous. Low post talent doesn't just... leave, not at age 27. I'm glad I made you laugh, though. Great retort.
Flash
To be honest, if he does sign here its because he's ready to get in shape which is something our staff does very well. Just look at Q-Rich last year. Not to mention that he gives us more size up front and 6 more fouls to use on Shaq and Perkins. Makes sense IMO. He can't be more useless than Magloire. Abro
although it might be a good idea that they just sign him for his size i still think tht they should have signed dampier.. Hes not absolutely worthless hes like a taller older joel anthony.. But if the Heat want a big fat slob who wont work hard be my guest. Cleveland's Finest
So after LeBron finds a way to get away from Delonte, you want to bring a limo-driver molesting slob to the team. His mom is attracting the wrong people.
