Newman
The four-year, $17 million deal with a player option for a fifth year takes effect next season. That would keep the fan-favorite Dudley under contract until at least the 2014-15 season and possibly the next one as well.New Suns president of basketball operations Lon Babby called Dudley "a valued member of what makes this franchise special." Source 4.25 mil/year. Not a bad deal IMO considering he is a fan favourite.
Sun Tzu
YES! He is worth every cent of that $22.5 million (hopefully he stays his 5th year).
The Lone Granger
Great move for the Suns. I'm pretty sure that the reason they didn't get this done earlier was because they wanted to pay him what THEY wanted to pay him. They didn't overpay int his deal, and they got their players locked up anyway. Dudley is going to play a big part for the Suns, especially when Grant Hill decides to call it a career. He's going to impress some people assuming he keeps working hard on his game, and playing hard like he does. Very good deal for both sides here.
