N.1.A.K.
http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/blog/the_dagger/post/Transgender-George-Washington-player-a-fascinati?urn=ncaab-282180 A man playing on a woman's basketball team. i think its good that Kye Allums has made this public and isn't scared of the repercussions. I know there has to be more gay/lesbian players that are on active athletic teams... pro or college level... that have yet to "come out". Maybe this will inspire others, no homo. good, bad? what's your thoughts?
Erick Blasco
This is really cool. I'm sure her story will be positively received nationally, and hopefully it will chip away some of the hyper-masculinity that takes place in sports, though I'm also positive the reaction would be a lot more negative if Allums were a guy transitioning into becoming a woman and not the other way around.
