EastCoastNiner
Rondo should never be in the same sentence as those other three. He may have helped lead Boston there last year, but he in no way, shape or form carried them. He's definitely one of the five players you don't like for some reason. Every chance you get, you try to discredit him, which I don't understand. Even during last years playoffs you were dogging him.
fish7718
LOL @ Rondo and Howard being mentioned with LeBron with Wade, I can see some saying Howard despite his 5 inch range, but come on now Rondo? LOL, dude isn't even a top 3 PG, how can he be a "star". C'mon man, carried the Celtics? Is that a [expletive]ing joke? No one carried the Celtics they play as team, just like no1 carries the Lakers, they play as a team. Rondo may be the best player on the Celtics but he is no way a super star. There are 5 super stars in the NBA, you can put these players on any team in the NBA and chances are they are making the playoffs, they are also capable of literally CARRYING a team to the finals LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Chris Paul. Stop it with your nonsense STL.
Owner Real Deal Posted November 7, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted November 7, 2010 He's definitely one of the five players you don't like for some reason. Even during last years playoffs you were dogging him.Really? http://www.alldaynba.com/nbageneral/nbas-fab-five-point-guards 4. Rajon Rondo, Boston Celtics (14.1 PPG on .515 FG, 4.5 RPG, 9.9 APG) It may not be the popular decision, but let’s take a look at the Boston Celtics for a moment: they are currently the 6th best team in the NBA, record-wise, and with old age and injuries taking a toll on Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, Rasheed Wallace and even Paul Pierce, it’s Rondo who has proven to be the most consistent and highly-effective player in Boston. Offensively, he is getting the job done, and there’s no question he’s a good defensive player, averaging 2.5 steals per game and containing his opponent most of the time. His first all-star appearance was well-deserved, and among the three future Hall of Fame teammates he shares the ball with, one can debate that he has shined the brightest. Top four point guard, in my opinion. Written on March 9th, before the playoffs last season. Rondo is really amazing. If he had a consistent jumper, my God...teams would be fearing him. http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=15986&view=findpost&p=200422 The Celtics could pull it off (Rondo and Garnett for sure) because they have that talent, but I don't know.http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=18355&view=findpost&p=196884 Rondo isn't that much of a reach, but I wouldn't consider him in the same breath as other points, like Kidd and Nash. His IQ is up there, though. http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=17500&view=findpost&p=184408 he has two excellent defensive players as teammates (KG and Rondo) and a smart defender in Pierce.http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=15581&view=findpost&p=175710 If Oden doesn't qualify because of his injuries, I'll move Kirk up one and give the fifth spot to Rajon Rondo, but Gerald Wallace is REALLY close. http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=15581&view=findpost&p=175611 And even this post... LOL, not a chance. For one, Rondo is Boston's future. While CP3 is the better point guard, Rondo actually does more on the court and could very well surpass Paul in the next 3-4 years (laugh all you want, but if he gets a jumper, he could be one of the best players in the NBA).http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12817&view=findpost&p=144751 All posts in the second half of this year.
