kingfish
I think so. Blake has been great to start the season, Barnes has been good on both ends of the ball as well. These are guys that should be starters on other teams, they are playing very well off the bench, and fit the team perfectly. Also Shannon Brown has improved so much on his jump shot, he now has the quickness to drive by people as well as great range when shooting. Hes shown to be very good at shooting contested jumpers this season. Hes averaging about 10 points per game and shooting over 50 % from 3. And when Bynum comes back, Odom goes back to the bench. moeroadkill
celtics without a doubt shaq, oneal, baby, daniels, west, nate, hell even wafer is pretty decent and Erden by far the best bench in the nba and im going to give some love to the pistons they have a nice bench imo
Poe
No, because the Phoenix Suns have the best bench in the NBA. The Magic and Celtics also have better bench players than the Lakers, and maybe even the Knicks as well. Newman
In terms of depth, Magic and the Celtics' bench are definitely better than the Lakers' bench. In terms of explosiveness, the Suns win. I also think Mavs have a formidable bench as well.
kingfish
You guys dont understand that were about to take an MVP candidate this season (Odom) and put him on the bench. And I can see Blake, Brown, and Barnes are being very underrated.
ChosenOne
OdomBarnesBlakeBrown All of them are potential starters/ key role players for just about any other team. Yea I do believe they have the best bench in the league. As for the Celtics argument: Shaq, and Oneal are like me say yeah Brad Miller is a star play coming off the bench for us. Both guys are done and just looking for a potential easy ring. Big Baby yes is a good player off the bench that is given. Daniels nothing but just another player Barnes>>>>> West is a solid player off the bench just like Shannon Brown. Nate is garbage, he has his games but they come once a season. Tired of seeing the Celtics bench overrated. The Suns bench, maybe could make an argument for. But the thing is none of these teams can bring a guy off the bench that can dominate a game like Odom. Also, all those bench players are pretty solid defenders, especially Barnes. Not many teams have guys that good on both ends of the floor. Nitro
Once Odom comes back, yeah, the Lakers have the best bench.
fish7718
I'm normally a homer, but you have to consider the Knicks here Douglas - Walker - Chandler - Randolph - Turiaf that's probably better than the Wolves starters The one thing that makes it better than the Lakers bench is the depth at C assuming Bynum assumes the C role when he returns Lakers are - Blake, Barnes, Odom, Brown yes nice players, but no back up C Plus lets compare them to the Knicks players Odom and Blake = Chandler and Douglas Randolph Turiaf Walker > Brown Barnes - imo, strength in numbers Edited November 8, 2010 by STATCity

The Artesticle
I'd say we have one of the best benches in the league, whether or not we have the best bench is debatable. But it's an amazing turnaround from being one of the worst benches in the league last year to being one of the best. It feels great to actually have players that can contribute besides the starting 5 and Odom. When Drew comes back, a second unit of Odom-Barnes-Brown-Blake is going to be lethal. Can't wait! Make It Naaaashty
As much as I love our bench, I'll admit that the Lakers have the most talented bench once Bynum returns to the starting line-up. But for right now, we definitely have the best bench in the league. Edited November 8, 2010 by Prodigy
The Lone Granger
I can't say that the Lakers have the best bench, although I think they're #2 for sure. Boston has the most talented bench in my opinion. They also have a center injured in Kendrick Perkins, so when he comes back, your going to have Shaq, Jermaine O'Neal, Delonte West, Marquis Daniels, Von Wafer, Nate Robinson, and more off the bench there for the C's. I really don't think you can go against that bench. Maybe that's just me, but my vote goes to the Boston Celtics.

CaliCurbStomppa
I like Lakers bench the best. They just have so many guys that can step up. Celtics are probably second
