Newman
Does this hurt more or does Aaron Brooks' injury hurt more?
Dash
Thankfully its not related to any of his past injuries. Hope the big fella picks off where he left off next week .
htown11
Does this hurt more or does Aaron Brooks' injury hurt more? It's funny because both have the positives and then have the negatives. In Aaron's case he does not provide good ball movement, so the offense is a bit more stagnant. When Aaron went down you immediately saw Ish Smith dropping dimes all over the court, and the ball was moving around better. Also that Aaron so far this year has played no defense at all. That's the negative the positive is when you want Aaron to score he does, he picked up that closer role last year for the Rockets and given that the Rockets clearly don't have a closer so far this season Aaron was the likely option. (Kevin Martin doesn't take control like we all wish he would in the 4th) With Yao his positives are clear, big presence great fundamental player. But given the minute circumstance the continuity that Yao needs is not possible when taking long breaks. It actually ruins team chemistry, and causes confusion when he comes back in for the last 5 minutes of the game, nothing really gets done and Yao doesn't become dominant. Plus the fact that he gets out rebounded by just about every man in the paint doesn't help, but that was expected he has no lift. Miss both players for what they are good at, don't miss the clear negatives though lol.
htown11
Yao to Miss Another Week Houston - Out since last Wednesday with a sprained left ankle, Houston Rockets center Yao Ming said Tuesday he expects to miss another week of action. No real surprise since the Rockets announced he would miss a minimum of one week. "I think probably another week I will be fine," Yao said. "The swelling is down. "Really It's just still a little bit sore, but compared to last week that's a lot better." Yao was injured in the Rockets 98-91 loss at Washington Nov. 10. There was an initial scare because Yao could have injured the same foot that was surgically repaired which caused him to miss all of last season. However, tests revealed he suffered only an ankle sprain. http://www.myfoxhouston.com/dpp/sports/nba/101116-yao-to-miss-another-week

kingfish
Im pretty sure I said before the season started I give him a week until hes injured again. Was it less then a week?
Dash
^More than a week I think. Rockets staff just being extra careful with Yao. Our guys need to hold the fort down till they think he's ready, tough to do that though with Bud and Aaron out.
Dash
Yao to miss at least 2 more weeks, probably more for conditioning. Foot fine. Ankle has bone bruise. Saw this coming. -_- Edited November 19, 2010 by Dash
