The Lone Granger
The Kings are shopping Jason Thompson and the Hawks recently declined a deal involving the young forward. http://www.realgm.com/images/nba/4.2/profiles/photos/2006/Thompson_Jason_sac.jpg A source with knowledge of the situations says Sacramento offered Thompson to Atlanta for young point guard Jeff Teague, but the Hawks passed on the offer. http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/70100/20101115/hawks_reject_thompson_for_teague_offer_from_kings/ Can't blame the Hawks for declining this trade, but something else about this peaks my interest. I think this means that they aren't going to be trading Josh Smith. Why? Well, Jason Thompson is a very solid power forward, and to turn him down would be stupid if they were going to trade Smith and need a replacement. Maybe I'm looking too far into it, but that's what I see. Nice try by the Kings trying to acquire Teague. Thoughts?
Warren2ThaG
Thompson > Teague roflmao. Don't even know why ATL drafted Teague to let him dry.
Make It Naaaashty
Thompson > Teague roflmao. Don't even know why ATL drafted Teague to let him dry. Actually, Teague is going to take over the starting job once Bibby leaves. He's a quick and good defender, I can see why the Hawks would reject this offer. Newman
The Hawks would have benefit from this trade in the short-term (heck, when Marvin and Mo Evans were down, they had to start Jason Collins), but Teague is the future starting PG. Cobb
Kind of surprised we didn't pull the trigger. I really haven't been impressed by Teague's play so far this year. He really has no offensive game. This just goes to show what the Hawks think of Teague.
Big Penny
Thompson is a stud. i can see why they turned it down, as i don't see where he fits in with ATL, but he's a stud regardless.
*Swish*
Would of be great for the Kings to get Jeff teague off the bench and get rid of Thompson even though he's a good player! why? getting rid of him will let Cousins develop faster and maybe have more playing time. Would of been great for the Hawks to get Thompson off the bench for Smith or Horford
