fish7718
Won The Great Alaskan Shootout we were down 30-20 to Az St. at the end of the first half, I feel asleep. Woke up we won 67-58 so we out scored them 47-28 in the second half, good [expletive]. Can't wait to see this team when they are back in NY on NY time. They've been all around the North America since the beginning of the season playing at odd times.
fish7718
With ranked wins over Duke, UConn, Gtown and ND St. John's is now looking less like a bubble team and more like guaranteed at large team. Factor out tough losses to St. Bonaventure and Fordham earlier in the year and the Red Storm are probably ranked in the top 25 right. After being Marquette tonight we are 16-9 with and 8-5 record in the big east. We were 33 and 31 in the polls going into the night. Showdown Saturday to get ranked if we beat Pitt in the garden, I will be going. LET'S GO RED STORM. Dwight Hardy = beast I remember when Norm recruited him my freshman year, we had 3 guys and a shot at Lance Stephenson, 2 guys Stith and Omari Lawrence (who transferred), sucked, and were both ranked higher than Hardy who was actually a JuCo transfer. I'm shocked he's turned out to be such a good player. One of the 10 seniors we have on the roster, we can really make a push in the NCAA tournament if we get a good seed and bracket. fish7718
Lost in the Melo drama yesterday I forgot to mention St. John's is ranked #25! Woo, big moment in school history, haven't been ranked in over a decade, it feels awesome! MSG is going to be the place to be this March! fish7718
Incredible, just when you think this run is as good as it gets, we pretty much clinched a double bye in the big east tournament with todays win @ Villanova. Just crazy, this team has officially surpassed my expectations. Dwight Hardy - big east player of the year?

fish7718
oopsoops what? oops we made the NCAA tournament? Despite what happen tonight, I'm still more than happy with what my Johnnies did. To put St. John's back on the map and to take a group of 10 seniors who everyone counted out and make a run for the ncaa tournament. Knock 6 rankeds teams, 4 top 10 teams. Incredible incredible year. Only one team can win it all, no shame and going one and done especially when you consider all the things they accomplished. Yeah, oops. Flash
GREAT season by the Red Storm. Congrats on all the success. Definitely see them being a contender in the Big East as long as Lavin keeps recruiting hard.

Flash
Just saw that coach Lavin has prostate cancer. Good luck to him and hopefully he gets through this quickly.
