moeroadkill
its a question that has been up in the air for a long time now. personally i dont know if he should or shouldn't. I wasn't sure if Ibaka was ready to start but the last three games have made me change my tone about him. he is hitting 20foot jumpers with ease and confidence but thats about all he can do offensively he cant dribble drive, at least not yet or we haven't seen it yet. his not really the best finisher around the rim he tends to rush those easy little put backs, he is a bit of a black hole i think his only got 1 assist on the year. he needs to learn when to pass the ball. another side of this is how will this effect green? will he take it to heart and think he the team doesn't want him? i think he could be a very special 6th man he would cause so many mismatches for the other opponents few other questions that cant be answered but need to be considered.are we a better team with Ibaka in the line-up ? do we want to change what caused us to win 50 games last season ?will it ruin our team chemistry ?is it too early to ride of green? he has done some very good things this season so far that kept us in and won games and he has been playing very well we are 3-0 with ibaka startingibaka is averaging 12.2 ppg, 7.9 rpg and 2.5 with 58FG% (3rd in the league) and 85% from the line Edited November 16, 2010 by MoeRoadKill
Owner Real Deal Posted November 16, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted November 16, 2010 Might as well. The Thunder are already playing small with Green at the four, so there's no reason not to go smaller to bring in the better defender at the five. It would be nice to see Aldrich playing bigger minutes and not fouling every 30 seconds.
Sun Tzu
Yes, I think starting Ibaka would be a good decision right now. He contributes a lot for this team and he provides you guys with the defense and rebouding that you guys need against bigger teams. I guess starting Green against smaller teams would be beneficial but against most teams Ibaka should be the man you look at to start at the 4. Dash
I think energy players like Ibaka are better suited for the bench but they might as well give it a shot.
