htown11
^ Agreed it's irresponsibility from various areas, and this beverage happened to take center stage when really alcohol can creep on you either way. But Four Loko did what it needed to do to stay in business.
JYD
Well I think that part of the blame doesn't fall on Four Loko, rather the places where it is sold for not ID'ing and on the customers for not knowing their limits. It wasn't about the places weren't IDing as far as I know...It more had to do to it's design on the can...it looked like a regular energy drink to parents/police, etc. Also the dangers were not described at all on the can. Kids knew it could get you [expletive]ed up and thats all they cared about...there needs to be some warning labels ... ^ Agreed it's irresponsibility from various areas, and this beverage happened to take center stage when really alcohol can creep on you either way. I said that Four Loko should definitely have warning labels on their drink but once that is done, the responsibility should fall on the customer and the convenience store. htown11
not really. they used a ploy in their design to try to make it look like a non-alcoholic energy beverage Which is ingenious until you get caught. Now the reputation has taken a hit... “I will definitely stop selling them once the state tells me to,” Lindo Sabatini, of Sabatini’s Pizza in Exeter, said. “But as long as they’re legal and in demand, we’re going to keep selling.” Though the company promises to reformulate, many distributors say they still won’t be interested in carrying the product. “I don’t think they could do that, anyway,” said Mary Illiano, co-owner of Illiano’s Pizza in Wilkes-Barre, who pulled the drink. “Their name is already tarnished from it. I think they’d have to brand it differently and just start over.” “I don’t really want to bother with it,” said Angelo Ricci, owner of Ricci’s Pizza, Wilkes-Barre. “I’d rather uphold a good reputation.”

Says 12%, DIet is worst than regular soda.
