Beasley vs Bosh

Miami Fans:

Beasley is currently tearing up anyone who he is playing, so if you could would you have kept Beasley, saved cap space ,and never signed Bosh. This would have allowed signings of more shooters and good-defensive center. This would also somewhat lower the hype of your team a little and have had less haters. Or would you keep the team you have right now?

Beasley never got the freedom in Miami that he has now in Minny. Now he's playing in a carefree system where he doesn't have to worry about defense and living up to being Dwyane Wade's number 2. Beasley is an alpha dog type player who needs to be the main focus offensively.

Bosh is going to be just fine. I have all the faith in the world that he'll end up being a tremendous third option for us and continue the play we've seen the past 2 games.

Michael is one of my favorite players but he wouldn't be playing this way if he were still in Miami.

That is very true, but in a system with both Lebron and Wade he would be getting very little defensive attention and just like Bosh did against Phoenix he would take over ball games. Neither Bosh or Beasley are known for their defense so i doubt that has an effect on the outcome.

My main point which maybe you missed is that they would be gettling maybe a little less production but much more cap flexiibilty in the future to fill the glaring holes in their team. (Add more size and a stronger defensive pointguard to stop elites ones like Rondo, Williams, Paul who have steamrolled Miami).

Maybe so. But in this offense you don't need a stud PG. Rather someone who can hit the open 3 and defend somewhat with a pulse. A Center is more important at this point and with next year's MLE I think we'll be able to sign a decent one.

Like Flash said Beasley is playing so well because he's being able to have all the ISOs he wants in Minny, he rarely got ISO plays by just playing with Wade. Add Lebron to the mix and things would be much worse for Beasley. Bosh was a ISO player in Toronto too but his game is better suited than Beasley's for playing next to Wade and Lebron.

You have to understand that it's really not the same thing. It's really not the same team he's playing for! Minnesota NEEDS him and Love to play their A game every night to win some games and have a better record! In Miami, there was Dwayne Wade and other players and it didn't matter if he played well or not! it was all on Wade. Second of all, Beasley is a beast this season because he realized that he has to score a lot for his team to win! He didn't have to score in Miami. Beasley averages more points then Bosh but that doesn't mean he's better. Put Bosh in Minnesota and Beasley with LeBron and Wade back in the Heat uniform, I'm a 100% sure that Beasley wouldn't have these stats. If I was a Miami Heat fan, I think I'd rather have the big three play together than having Beasley back. And ANYWAYS, I don't think Pat Riley would want Beasley back in Miami so the affair is closed.

You dont have to talk to me like I am 3 years old and an idiot... but decent post. I know Beasley has more offensive freedom which would make his offensive output increase. My point is he seems to have grown maturity also and playing with Lebron AND Wade he would get more open looks and end up putting probably similar stats as Bosh. Obviously Bosh is a better player, BUT he has a max contract to do what Beasley could be doing with a lot less money. This would open up cap space for a good defensive pg and center.

I think the confidence would be shot having to play alongside James and Wade, because he would be expected to play in the post more. I think that's what it comes down to the most. Beasley is a small forward that can play some power forward, simple as that. In Miami, he would be playing the four OR coming off the bench.

Why can't he play in Miami the same way he does in Minny? Well, because the Wolves have Love and Darko up front. Miami would run a lineup of Anthony, Beasley, LeBron, Wade and Arroyo...which would basically be a bunch of perimeter players and a stone hands center, leaving hardly any scoring in the post.

Bosh is going to be the better fit in Miami, while Beasley has already found out that he's better off playing on a team that allows him to spend the majority of his time slashing to the rim and playing his defender face up, from any spot on the floor. While Bosh isn't exactly the post player I'm saying Miami needs, he's much better in the post than Beasley is, and Bosh has the ability to play the center position as well.
