Owner Real Deal Posted November 20, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted November 20, 2010 Matt Barnes became the third player in the last 25 years to put up 20/5/5 with perfect shooting from the floor and free throw line. The other two? Charles Barkley and Gary Payton, in the mid-90's. Barnes put up 24 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 0 turnovers, 2 steals, 7-7 FG, 5-5 3PT, and 5-5 FT in 24 minutes of play against the Wolves. Pretty impressive. ChosenOne
Very impressive. Whats even more impressive is that the NBA keeps track of stats like this
Sun Tzu
Wow... I've always known he was a good player well after he played in Phoenix but I didn't even know he was this deadly from behind the line. Very very very impressive achievement. *Swish*
Impressive! and that was OFF THE BENCH! Great game for him. Really proud of him. He looks way better in a Lakers uniform :glasses:
kingfish
Did Barkley and Payton also have 0 turnovers in their game? I think Barnes is the first one to do that.
Purple&Gold
It was extremely impressive and good to see from Matt Barnes, finally the bench is improving and making the Lakers look a much better team. It would be nice if Barnes can put this much effort and shooting percentage everyday, hes gonna be for sure a big factor for this Lakers team when it comes to the Post-Season. Owner Real Deal Posted November 22, 2010 Author Owner Report Share Posted November 22, 2010 How the hell is this possible? Gasol just put up a 20/5/5 game (with 28/9/5) with 10-10 shooting, 8-8 from the free throw line. :o Fourth player in 25 years to do it. Makaveli
Not to spoil it, but Pau did have 1 turnover.. lol Still VERY amazing stats by both players. And it happened in two consecutive games too.

magicbalala245
This is crazy I can some what suspect Pau can get a perfect game. But Matt Barnes was the unexpected.
Nitro
Yeah, that's crazy. Not so much for Pau, since he is the best offensive big man in the league (or 2nd at worst to Dirk) and he played against a Warriors team without 3-4 of their big men. But Matt Barnes?!? Where the hell did the come from?
Sun Tzu
What have the Lakers been eating lately?
Lkr
Doesn't make any sense, we haven't played the Knicks!
magicbalala245
The bigger question RD should put up with the update is a poll asking who is the next Laker to get a perfect game if at all this season with attempting 7 or more shots?
