Rank you top 5 favorite game systems based on how good they were in their own generation.

1. Playstation 2 - personally I think this might be the greatest system of all time. There were just so many good games to choose from, rarely do quality and quantity work so well.

2. Nintendo 64 - I played this almost every day with my friends in the neighborhood. So many good games for a 7 year old kid to play, I feel like the Nintendo games now are cheap copies of the 64 stock. Zelda, the Mario games, all so awesome.

3. Xbox - not the 360 but the original xbox, game crop was way better and the fact that it had Halo 2 brings back so many fond memories.

4. Nintendo Gamecube - Nintendo raped with this console, best group of video games they ever had but the sales weren't so good because it didn't appeal to younger consumers.

5. Playstation 3 - I just bought mine 2 months ago and I already love it. It is arguably the best system ever (as in the console itself, not including the games).

Honorable mentions are Sega, the Nintendo handheld systems and 360. I'd say Super Nintendo but I never owned one.

1. N64 - GOAT, blowing in a slot to fix your games ftw.

2. Xbox 360 - Yeahhh

3. Dreamcast - So easy to play downloaded games, rarely ever had to buy any games for the system. Plus there was a point where everyone had a Dreamcast.

4. Gameboy Color - Pokemon son.

5. PS2 - Classic. Really changed the way gaming consoles are made forever. The games made for it were amazing as well. This was the last console ever bought for many people in my generation.

PlayStation 3 and XBOX 360 is a hard completion for me but I would put PS3 over it haha. When the PS3 first came out, yeah, it was a lot of money but it was worth it. Blu-Ray, tons of GB, and free online access and play. Graphics are similar, haven't got my hands on the Kinect yet but did for the PlayStation Move.

Lol PC gaming = nerd and Gamecube did not support online gameplay which made it easily the worst console

PS2's online sucked [expletive] though. So does the current iteration of XBL and PSN in comparison to PC anyway, so who cares ;)

5. GameGear, great mini Sega in my opinion.. good games.

4. Orignal Gameboy - I cried until my dad got me one (such a girl move LOL) I loved it i went no where without it. I still would have it had I wouldn't of left it with that cheating [expletive].

3. Sega Genesis/Playstation/GameCube all these get the number three as they kept me happy when I had them, when I was sick I played. good games (Mortal Kombat, NBA Jam, the first NBA Live games, Sonic.. ahh Memories :D)

2. XBOX 360 - great games, great exclusives. played with the KINECT, great add on, Netflix streaming w/o the disc, and most things that the PS3 dont have)

1. Playstation 2 - GOAT - I saved for this thing, and I used it until the day (NO LIE HERE -- I did an association mode with 2k6 and got the Disc Read error..) nothing can compare to the PS2. Longest running game console that I know of

The Super Nes and Sega Genesis are for me the very best consoles ever, and by far. I ain't a fan of today's games, the graphics are better and all but the games have lost their souls... Those two consoles have the best video games ever. I had them both when I was a teenager and was spending my time playing them... Those games were just fantastic. I still play them sometimes thanks to emulation, even if it's quite rare.

I'd put the Nintendo 64 at third but it had way less good games than the Super Nes and Genesis though. The Nintendo 64 was quite a disappointment to me except the great Super Mario 64 and Occarina of Time of course.

I loved the Master System as well, my first console ever. Some games were even better than the Genesis ones IMO, like Castle of Ilusion for example. I've always prefered the Master System version. This game was unbelievable, especially for an 8 bit game.

And the Nes was great too, Super Mario Bros 3 was truly a revolution at the time. Definitely among the very best games ever.
