Owner Real Deal Posted November 23, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted November 23, 2010 CP3. He provides the best stats on one of the best teams. MVP criteria met.
Nitro
Paul. Even though he's only scoring about 17PPG, his efficiency is insane, he's rebounding very well, he's got to be top 3 in the league in steals, he's dishing out over 10+ assists while turning the ball over at an unfairly low amount (only 2.5 per game), and his team is 11-2 without a legitimate all-star by his side (although West is playing very well). After Paul, I'd probably give it to Dwight. He's flown way under the radar. His team is 9-4, and he's on pace for the best offensive season since he entered the league, and his rebounding and defense is still elite. Finch23
Meh Chris Paul seems to be like the general consensus vote, but I still think up to this point it's Pau Gasol. I don't care about records right now, the Lakers are still the best in the West and Pau Gasol has been playing incredible.
reno
I say dwight howard without a doubt is mvp, pg is such a boring position. Dwight is a scoring menace, has terrific defense, great rebounding skills, and just a fun guy. He is a game changer.
kingfish
Pau Gasol.

He's the most valuable player on that team, hands down. He runs the offense, he's the primary scorer, and he's the second best defender on the team (next to Artest, and only because Kobe doesn't play defense all the time). Gasol has been timid when we've needed him to step up in a few of the games this season, which is why Kobe started ringing off 30s to keep us in them. There's no way Gasol is an MVP candidate over Bryant.

Purple&Gold
I hope that it is a joke Pau Gasol for MVP. Are you seriously saying Gasol is better than Kobe Bryant? Lol. Just because Gasol is putting up more numbers doesn't mean he has a better chance of being MVP, stats don't always tell stories.
*Swish*
Chris Paul. Team having one of the best record in the NBA and is putting up great stats.
N.1.A.K.
Chris Paul has the Hornets playing great right now. he seems to have the ability to turn it on in the 2nd half when his teams needs him after spending the entire first half getting his team involved. Now i know last night wasn't a great example of that vs. the Clippers, but the guy does makes everyone else around him better. He takes what is given to him. When he isn't initiating the offense, rare I know, he was still barking out orders on where everyone should be on the floor, Floor General. I don't think I saw Paul get the least bit rattled last night. That's what I love from MVP candidates. The team has definitely taken on his personality of being 'quiet assassins' so to speak. They go hard on the defensive end and execute almost flawlessly on the offensive end, as a team, with Paul being the main reason behind that identity. Rog
Chris Paul and it shouldn't even be close right now.
