Newman
Williams is once again on the IR list tonight for "repeatedly violating team policy." When [Avery] Johnson asked if a fine had been levied against Williams, he responded, “There has been a fine or two or three previously. That hasn’t worked.” Johnson said he’d have more to say about the Williams dilemma in the next day or two.Source I wonder whether he would get traded. To be honest, I have only seen him in 2 games which included a ball-hogging performance against the Raptors last year which made me question his basketball IQ, but he seem like a very talented scorer and I wonder if the Nets are going to trade him. Guru
Man I really want to know exactly what he did but it looks like the Nets aren't leaking that information.
Teletopez
Speculation that it had something to do with Twitter. He got into some trouble last year because of comments he made on Twitter while he was putting up poor performances on the court. Ever since he picked it up, there weren't really any problems (that were made public, at least) up to this point. This is one of the first signs we see of Johnson's no-nonsense policy. Universe
I know last year he was upset that the staff was monitoring his twitter and then he made it privite but you wouldn't think it would be that big of a deal but who knows.
