TSA: Airport Security

 Share

Recommended Posts

The debate about the TSA and airport security check-ins has been a very big topic recently. I honestly find it absolutely absurd that people are [expletive]ing and moaning about having to go through extra security. It doesn't even take much time at all.

A lot of the people who [expletive] and moan about it are the same ones that probably pointed figures at the airports on 9/11, and will point them if/when we get attacked again.

There is not ONE legitimate reason to [expletive] and moan about airport security.

What do you guys think?

id rather have to show up the airport an extra 30 minutes early to go through extra security than to see another 9/11 happen again. that should be the case with EVERYONE. i honestly don't even want to hear an argument for less security/make thing faster.

EDIT: when i do get on an airplane i usually just show up 45-60 minutes before my flight leaves and there are no problems.

It symbolizes victory for the terrorists

Whatever you say. I can only imagine if the Aaron Rodgers was on a flight going on vacation, and a passenger had a bomb on board and blew the plane up. You'd be the first person here [expletive]ing and moaning about the lack of security.

Some of you people don't even know what the full body scans look like. It's just a [expletive]ing x-ray that doesn't invade one's privacy.

I could care less about a full body scan. I'm just saying living in fear is what the terrorists want, and we're obliging.

My problem with the TSA is that while their intentions are right, they suck at what they do.

The idea is right, but the TSA sucks. Airport security should be privatized. We'd easily have the best airport security we've ever had.

So we can pick out who looks like a terrorist...right?

you call it living in fear... i call it being more safe.

i lock my front door when i leave my house, is that because im living in fear of burglars? no... im just being more safe.

same thing, i dont mind more security at an airport... i just don't want another 9/11 to happen again. its not like im planning my day around my supposed fear...

EDIT: and okay.. we are providing more security at airports. DAMN. the terrorists win the mind games... +1 for them?

Yeah...but you'd be surprised at how many people won't travel due to their fear of another 9/11. That's obviously affecting their life.

So that basically reiterates the fact that we need strict airport security. The TSA just doesn't do their job well and that's why I'm 100% for privatizing airport security.

The problem I have with it involves what you can't take on the plane. They are eliminating a lot of things that are necessities for some people. The last time I flew, they took away packets of honey I carried with me in a ziplock bag. I use that honey to raise my blood sugars.

They wouldn't know that, if I had a severe low blood sugar, I'd be having seizures on their airplane.

I could care less what they see on a scan. If they prove the scans aren't going to cause a health problem (hear that's a concern), they can put my scan in a Playgirl mag, for all I care.

Privatizing it won't make it any better. It's going to be a pain in the [expletive] either way.

No. Privatizing it will make it 10x more efficient and effective. It'll create competition among the security companies making it much, much better.

When it comes to my safety whilst traveling 35,000 feet up in the air, I don't want it to be a 'competition' of who can get the most people on the plane the quickest.

Did you read my post? The competition between private security companies would make the security protocols much more effectively enforced and they wouldn't miss 12 razors like the TSA scanner did.Efficiency isn't who does it the fastest, rather who does the best job and not missing possible weapons.

All you have to do is look at welfare, medicare and medicaid to see that the government can't run a decent program. People are stealing money every day from those systems.

Very few. People find ways to cheat the system in everything in life. You haven't figured that out by now?
