The Goods
Sixers team president Ed Stefanski is denying reports that he is shopping forward Elton Brand. "I've said over and over since I've been here, any player is tradable in the NBA," Stefanski said. "If anybody wants to make an offer, you have to listen. Am I calling other teams and shopping Elton Brand? Absolutely not. I've had people inquire about him." Brand is entering the second year of a five-year, $82 million contract with Philadelphia. http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/60125/20090627/stefanski_im_not_shopping_brand/
YoSixers
I don't think the Sixers should give up on him that fast. Cheeks used him in completely the wrong way and then he was injured the rest of the year. I am thinking of this season as his first season with the Sixers, give him some time to build some chemistry with his teammates and for Eddie Jordan to figure out what the best way to implement him in the offense.

Diesel
Brand's value is probably at an all-time low at this point. The only thing we could possibly get for him would be bad contracts and maybe a solid young player or two. It's just not worth it at this point. Brand will be a lot better this upcoming season with the additional shooters and hopefully with Andre Miller leaving or taking a reduced role. Flight
I'm not going to quote him. I won't do it. lol Elton didn't get much of a chance last year, so this year's the real test. He has the potential to be a 20/10 guy, just like his career average I believe, but it's all about health now.
