Spurs Likely To Sign Ime Udoka

The Spurs waived guard/forward Danny Green on Tuesday and they'll replace him with Ime Udoka, according to ESPN.com's Marc Stein.

"After Spurs waived Danny Green, bringing back Ime Udoka is next in their 12-1 sights. I'm told Udoka on way to SA and "likely" to sign soon," Stein wrote on his Twitter page.

This will be a very solid, and underrated signing for San Antonio. They need to acquire some more defense, and Udoka gives them both defense, and a solid three-point shooting threat. He's also very accustomed to playing in the Spurs' system, and he should fit in well from the get go. Looking forward to seeing him play again.

Dam I thought Green would have lasted in Spurs. Udoka is solid and since he played at SA before, he should fit right in.

Udoka sucks Big time, he was terrible on offense and defense in his last stint with us (he shot 28% from 3 last year), he has got older so I don't see how he is going to be any better on defense either. He hustles, but his lack of athleticism really holds him back against most 3s.

 

Don't like this signing at all, hopefully it's just insurance until James Anderson returns.
