The Regime
The Trail Blazers held a players-only meeting following their loss to the Nets on Sunday night. The loss was Portland's third-straight and it dropped their record to 8-8 on the season. "We're at a tough point right now," said Brandon Roy. "It's a young season. We've lost three games in a row and we're .500, so it's a difficult time. But we have to stick together and really see what we're made of." Roy said the players-only meeting was "good," and Marcus Camby called it "positive." Wesley Matthews said conversation was open, frank and honest. "We talked ... about what we need to do," Matthews said. "We don't feel we're an 8-8 team and that's the gist of it. The thing about the NBA is you have got a whole bunch of games in a short span of time, so you have to lose this and move on to the next one." http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/70302/20101129/blazers_hold_players_only_meeting/
Owner Real Deal Posted November 29, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted November 29, 2010 All of the teams should start holding players-only meetings when they are playing .500 basketball.

Dr. Feelgood
I read that Wesley Matthews will be starting at SF in place of Batum. We'll see how that goes. I honestly think it'll be great because Matthews has played so consistent for us.

*Swish*
I've been surprised negatively by the Portland Blazers. There is absolutely no excuse for them to win against .500 or under teams when they have such a talented roster. Even though they have Oden injured for the 10th time, they still have good players like Roy who is one of the best scorer in the league, Camby who is a great defender, Alridge who is becoming a beast this season, Mathews who is pretty good for the Blazers this season, Batum who is a great defender as well and who could shoot the three ball with ease. I mean, look! they really have a strong team and they shouldn't be a .500 team. A meeting is always good because that's how you get things straight when something is going wrong. Hope to see them winning tonight against Sixers or else it's a really catastrophic situation
