The Lone Granger
The Atlanta Hawks today signed guard/forward Damien Wilkins to a contract, according to Executive Vice President/General Manager Rick Sund. Per team policy, terms were not disclosed. http://www.realgm.com/images/nba/4.2/profiles/photos/2006/Wilkins_Damien_sea.jpg Wilkins, 30, played in two preseason games with Memphis this year, averaging 2.0 ppg, 3.0 rpg and 1.0 spg (.400 FG%). http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/70380/20101203/hawks_sign_damien_wilkins/ I like the move for Atlanta. If I remember correctly a couple years back, he was actually putting up some good numbers off the bench with the Sonics? Maybe that's the wrong person, but I'm pretty sure that's who it was. Anyway, good move, because I do remember this guy can put up some points from time to time. Thoughts?
Cobb
Well shucks, you beat me to it! Anyways, I like this signing a lot. We now finally have a true backup small forward on the roster now.
