headliner
The New Orleans Hornets will soon become the first franchise ever owned by the NBA. The league's plans to take over control of the Hornets are going ahead "100 percent" and the move will be publicly confirmed in the coming days, according to numerous sources. After the stalled sale of the Hornets from longtime owner George Shinn to minority partner Gary Chouest collapsed for good in recently, NBA officials moved forward with their proposal to purchase operational control of the team. headliner
The NBA is going to rig every game for the Hornets to win?
The Lone Granger
Hopefully they don't move from New Orleans. The Hornets are finally starting to play well, and to have their team moved right now would really hurt them. I unfortunately have a feeling that the NBA is going to try to move them to Las Vegas at some point, but maybe that's just me. Hopefully they stay in NO though. This is very interesting to watch though...
headliner
I think the NBA is very committed to keeping the Hornets in New Orleans or else they would allow someone else to buy the team and moved them as they please as long as it fall in regulation. Newman
Are they only taking over for a temporary period so a new owner would buy them or they taking over permanently? If it's the latter then it's a puzzling decision, even if it does enable the Hornets to stay in NO.
