Terrence Williams has played three exceptional games for the Springfield Armor after being sent down to the D-League by Avery Johnson and Co.

After dominating with the assists and rebounds in his first D-League game, T-Will put up 32 points this time, with a much better shooting performance, for his second triple-double in two D-League games.

The Nets have been keeping scouts and staff in attendance.

The Nets specified that T-Will would not be recalled for tonight's game against Atlanta, but they never commented on the plans for after that. That was yesterday.

Turns out that it is the trip to Dallas on which Williams is scheduled to join the team, as confirmed today.

The Nets recalled Williams from the Springfield Armor, for whom he averaged 28.0 points, 11.3 rebounds, 10.7 assists, and 1.3 steals in 41.7 minutes.

“We saw a lot of what we needed to see,” coach Avery Johnson said after the Nets’ morning shootaround. “His team went 1-2 but we thought from an individual standpoint we thought he played a lot of minutes, took a lot of shots, was real active. Based on that evaluation we feel that now is the time for him to return.”

Williams was sent down the day after Thanksgiving, after he was de-activated for two games for “repeated violations of team policy.” The Nets have never revealed what policy Williams violated but it has everything to do with his repeated lateness, which he finally acknowledged on his Twitter page.

“My head is on straight,” Williams tweeted. “Just got to be on time.”

Two days ago:

"THANKS TO ALL MY SUPPORTERS I APPRECIATE YOU GUYS-DEARLY

"LIKE IVE SAID BEFORE I ACCEPT WHATS PUT BEFORE ME WITH OPEN ARMS NEVER POUT JUST PROVE PEOPLE WRONG IS WHAT IM AFTER GO NETS IS WHAT I YELL''

------------------------------------

Terrence Williams is back and a changed man…at least he sounded as if he got the message from being sent down to the D-League for being repeatedly late.

Williams called it “an awakening,” and once again acknowledged he has had trouble being on time. But this whole experience will make him a better professional, he said.

“It woke me up a lot,” he said. “I said I’m not going to sit here and give you guys the typical answers that everybody who goes to the D-League comes back saying, ‘yeah I understood my lesson.’ When I say I understood my lesson, I truly mean that in the most sincere way that I understood going down there woke me up and helped me and hopefully helps my career in the long run. So I definitely understood what Avery did. We talked this morning and I appreciate it.”

Williams will dress and be in the rotation tomorrow, Johnson said.

Before we go all gooey eyed over his dleague stats I'd suggest looking up other players D League stats, Morris Almond for instance, many players have tore up d league and done nothing at the NBA level, however this is still impressive, I'm excited about the kids future.

Not a whole lot to take out of Williams' performance on Thursday. In your typical box score, his stats would probably get little attention, but since it was his return from the D-League and with poor performances from a good part of the team by halftime, his efforts on the court received some recognition. His second half, though, was quiet.

Still had some flaws in his taking care of the ball, but his court vision impresses me nonetheless.
