According to two NBA executives, the Knicks are in the market to trade for a low-cost backup point guard in order to reduce the heavy minutes being played by starter Raymond Felton.

New York is making Bill Walker available and is pursuing players whose contracts expire after this season to preserve cap space for next summer.

I'd take Chalmers in a heartbeat... Not sure how this helps the Heat though. Walker is super athletic and an exciting dunker, and can shoot a nice 3-ball... But he's simply buried here, especially with the emergence of Shawne Williams.

Interesting that they don't see Douglas as a backup PG, but rather a SG I guess.

I think they are looking for another true PG as a backup.

Douglas is more of the shooting PG mold at this point.

I always liked Shawne Williams when he was on the Mavs, but he was too much of a thug to ever touch the court.

He has the tools to be a solid player in the league though.

I think the Pacers may look into trading for him in return for A.J. Price. Price is a great player, and that would be a Larry Bird type of move. They know that Price wants to play, and they just can't accomodate him right now, so Bird very well could make a move just for Price. Walker would be a fairly nice fit on our young, athletic team as well.
