AboveLegit
Can they finally make another big run in the playoffs this year? They have looked extremely impressive so far and are 16-4. It's early, but they have won some tough games... Ended the Celtics' 5-game win streakEnded the Hornets' 8-game win streakEnded the Thunder's 5-game win streakEnded the Spurs' 12-game win streakEnded the Jazz' 7-game win streak Right now they are on a 9 game winning streak. Oh absolutely, the Mavs have been extremely impressive, especially on defense. They're playing some of the best basketball in the league. What they did to the Jazz last week, especially, was masterful. If they play the same way throughout the season, this Mavs team has more teeth than that gutless Finals loser from earlier in the decade. The cast isn't the same, and may be a touch worse, but it's as if Dirk and Cuban have finally grown up. This Mavs team has some sophistication and it's caught my attention. Guest STL10
I don't want to get too excited, but we've been AMAZING thus far!
The Truth
I think the Chandler deal was huge for them. it gave them the big man depth they were lacking for so long. now they have two solid big men in Chandler and Haywood to go along with the nucleus.

We haven't had a solid center since James Donaldson way back in the 80's. The difference that separates Chandler from all the Mavs is his fire. He plays every game like it's his last.

We traded Dampier and Carroll for Chandler and Ajinca. Best trade ever http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif We got rid of our two best players and got a solid center and a better benchwarmer.
