Cavs trying to acquire Iguodala

e Cavaliers might not ever get a player like LeBron James again in our lifetime.

But they might be able to acquire “LeBron Lite.”

League sources indicate the Philadelphia 76ers are attempting to trade guard/forward Andre Iguodala.

There is no active dialogue between the Sixers and Cavs right now, but a source said it was one to keep your eye on. Things could heat up toward the trade deadline.

He would fit nicely into the Cavs’ $14.5 million trade exception.

But there’s one big problem: Iguodala’s massive contract. He’s making $12.3 million this season, $13.5 million next year, $14.7 million in 2012-13 and $15.9 million in 2013-14.

That alone would be enough to make him untouchable for many teams, including possibly the Cavs, who have stressed flexibility throughout this entire process.

However, with a team that has no star power like the Cavs, they could be open to trading for him.

There are many things to like about him: He defends, can create his own shot and has taken his team to the postseason.

The 6-foot-6, 207-pound Iguodala would fit in well in Coach Byron Scott’s Princeton offense.

Well, if they are looking for someone that resembles James in the face, Iggy is the closest.

Cover up his eyes. If his eyes weren't so slanted, it would be LeBron in that picture.
