EastCoastNiner
http://pagingdrgupta.blogs.cnn.com/2010/12/15/woman-sues-mcdonalds-over-happy-meals/ I love our country, but the mindset of many people in this country is just absolutely retarded it pisses me off. No [expletive] McDonald's is marketing the happy meals to kids. This dumb [expletive] needs to understand that kids don't go to McDonald's just for the toys, they go for the burgers, fries, nuggets, ect. If the kids really want toys, then go buy them at a store, or just tell them no. I really can't believe San Francisco is having a ban on toys in these meals next December. McDonald's in not unhealthy, but people who don't eat it in moderation are the ones that are unhealthy. There are no "bad" foods, just foods you need to eat in moderation. It's just sad that some liberal "justice" will probably help her win here case. This is absolutely absurd! JYD
McDonalds food is certainly unhealthy for you. There's much better alternatives. No [expletive] you should eat them in moderation. I do think this entire thing is a joke. I heard about it on The Daily Show, and it's ridiculous. The toy's should be able to be included. This is where people need to learn about health. There is no such thing as a "bad" food. It all comes down to moderation which makes meals unhealthy. It's pathetic. I also think the coffee lawsuit was absurd as well, and I don't have too much sympathy for the woman. People need to have personal responsibility. Check my Stats
It is all relative. McDonalds is obviously bad in comparison to a lot other foods. Anyways, this woman should be slapped. Seriously, the happy meal has been around for 30+ years and this [expletive] is just figuring this out now? Of course the happy meal is marketed with the toy, it is a genius marketing ploy really. Edited December 16, 2010 by Check my Stats

Also, Didn't sf also ban diet pop because they believe it makes people fatter? Or they are also trying to get it banned? Heard something along those lines. JYD
This is where people need to learn about health. There is no such thing as a "bad" food. It all comes down to moderation which makes meals unhealthy. So a McDonalds hamburger is as good as a plain piece of grilled chicken? Riiiight. The way they prepare their food and the way it's fried definitely makes other alternatives much healthier. Will it make you fat and hurt you in moderation? No. That's where you're correct, and that's probably what you're trying to convey. But McDonalds and fast food's definitely are prepared and fried in ways that are unhealthier then if you were to cook it at home. It is all relative. McDonalds is obviously bad in comparison to a lot other foods.Exactly. I agree, I eat a ton of fast food and ice cream I'm ok. But I find this rather silly. Parents need to learn to be parents. You're still not banned? ECN said eat it in moderation; which means a little to realistic amount. Eating fast food and ice cream a ton is not moderation. smh. I'm not going to argue because I'm on the same page as you for the most part, but your first statement doesn't make sense. I never said grilled chicken wasn't better, but that doesn't make a cheeseburger unhealthy. Eating five cheeseburgers would be unhealthy. It's all about moderation. Eating ten granola bars is more unhealthy than eating one cheeseburger(which isn't even an unhealthy food). It's all about moderation. But you're original comment wasn't that. You're original comment basically implied that McDonald's is healthy in moderation. That's only partially true considering the fact that you much rather eat a piece of grilled chicken with steamed vegetables than a big mac and fries.
Lkr
A cheeseburger isn't bad for you. A McDonald's cheeseburger is. It's not even real food ffs(although it is good sometimes)

There's no such thing as a "bad" food. It's all about moderation, and I wouldn't say McDonalds is healthy, but it's not necessarily unhealthy". Anyways, this is lady is just dumb. Multi-Billionaire
Is she going to sue every company that "is getting into my kids' heads without my permission"... There are many temptations in the world... perhaps she should start teaching her kids more about the subject?
EastCoastNiner
She'll win the case. She has a legit gripe. I hope you're joking? Maybe some people should suit their real-estate agents for showing them a nice house that "they just couldn't say no to" even though they couldn't afford it. All the woman has to do is say "no". It's not that hard.
