The Regime
Lower Merion High in Pennsylvania named their gymnasium after Kobe Bryant in a Thursday dedication ceremony. Bryant donated $411,000 to fund the facility - part of Lower Merion High School's newly completed $100 million campus, which opened this fall. "He's someone that doesn't like to come back to a lot of fanfare," said school district spokesman Doug Young. "This was a chance for us to honor his contributions." http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/70631/20101217/lower_merion_names_gym_after_kobe/

Phightins
It's funny because all of my friends who went to school there can't stand him. They only liked it when he'd show up while the Lakers were in town, since they'd get to skip class to listen to him talk.
Sun Tzu
Yeah, isn't $100 million suppose to be A LOT for a high school?

N.1.A.K.
Well deserved... 'twas about time. 100 million for 41 acres (23 for the high school site and 18 for Arnold field).... hard to believe Lower Merion isn't a private school. $100,000,000 wow that is alot of zeroes. kingfish
Thats pretty cool but those stupid Philadelphia people dont deserve for Kobe to even pay any attention to them. You have a basketball legend who grew up in Philly and you dont even appreciate him, boo him and hate on him. Kobe will never win them over. I am from Philadelphia and there are a LOT of people from here that I don't like. Kobe being one of them. Get over it. It is really cool that he is doing this, though.
