Built Ford Tough
The Orlando Magic desperately need someone to back-up Dwight Howard at center, but that help won't come from rookie Daniel Orton. Orton told the Orlando Sentinel before Tuesday's game against the Dallas Mavericks that he likely will have arthroscopic surgery on his left knee within the next week to repair cartilage damage. Orton originally injured the knee in high school and hurt it again during a recent NBA Development League stint. He said he's been told he'll probably be out until the all-star break in mid-February. http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/2010-12-21/sports/os-orlando-magic-news-1222-20101221_1_daniel-orton-van-gundy-marcin-gortat I just don't see his knees holding up and allowing him to ever become much of an NBA player. He is talented, has nice size and all of that, but his knees are just shot. I think this will be his 3rd knee surgery in the past 3 years.
