xx.
Good comeback after not being able to get Gortat..
Art
This signing was unexpected; I'm not sure how Gooden will fit their rotation.
The Goods
Was hoping he would come to LA, good pickup for the Mavs.
His Greatness
If Dallas starts Gooden at the 5 (they won't), wouldn't that duo be in the running for the worst defensive frontcourt ever?
Owner Real Deal Posted July 26, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted July 26, 2009 If Dallas starts Gooden at the 5 (they won't), wouldn't that duo be in the running for the worst defensive frontcourt ever? With Marion?
His Greatness
With Marion?Fine. Frontlines if you want to get technical.
Owner Real Deal Posted July 26, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted July 26, 2009 Fine. Frontlines if you want to get technical. Then your answer is yes, probably. Minnesota has Jefferson and Love, and neither of them play any defense, as well as Okur and Boozer. I'm not even sure if Gooden is healthy enough to start, though. Cleveland's Finest
Drew can hit the jumpshot and spread the floor when Dirk's not playing. He's a good offensive rebounder also. Loved this guy on the Cavs. Imo....better than Gortat.
Diesel
No way is Gooden better than Gortat. He is trash on defense and Gortat has just as much touch around the basket as he does. Gortat is a way better defender too. WAY better. There's a reason team's were lining up for Gortat and Gooden was signed just now.
Cleveland's Finest
Drew Gooden started for the Cavs, who were in the NBA finals. People forget who valuable he was in Cleveland. He averaged 14 ppg a game at one point one season. Gooden has played 44 playoff games and averaged over 10 ppg, 8 rpg, in 28 mpg. He's only 27. You are going to pass up all that experience for a raw big men who is a replica of Eric Dampier. Not to mention, he shoots less than 60% from the line whereas Gooden shoots over 80%. Also Gooden can shoot jumpers. Edited July 28, 2009 by Cleveland's Finest
