reno
And if so, which class? What went through your mind when you failed. Were you shocked, surprised, disappointed, depressed, didn't care? Did you retake the class or give up?
Check my Stats
I thought I was going to get less than 60 in my business class this year, and I need 60 to continue in my major. Luckily I got my grade up to a 64. Doing horrible is kind of a blessing in disguise really, serves as a wake up call for sure. I have never failed, I've been close but I have always recovered, luckily. If I failed a class I think I would be sick, my stomach felt sick when I was failing business this year. Guest STL10
Nope, although I've been close before. 70 is passing at my school btw...
trutrojan8
In math, I've retaken the class 3 times. It's not that I'm a dumbass, my gpa is 3.18, I just couldn't figure it out. btw it wasn't the same class per se, it was the same material just under a different class name. fish7718
10th grade english lol, I completely blew off all the reading and final assignment, honestly I probably should have failed 9th 8th and 7th grade English too lol, had to go to summer school for 6 weeks wasn't that bad tbh the hours I spent going to summer school I would have just used to sleep anyway and I was done and home at 11 am ready to start my day. htown11
C- in Spanish which basically means I failed it because I needed a C+ or greater in relation to my major. I released my anger when I did my professor evaluation.... when you have more than 70% of the class struggling you know you suck at teaching. And if my gpa is worthless because of the school, like you said, I guess nobody in my school's going to college? btw again, failing a math class means below a 70%, just like a foreign language. I've never technically failed a class (grade<59), just retaken it. Edited December 23, 2010 by trutrojan8

Big Penny
gotten 2 Ds (first one i expected because i hated the class and didn't try, second one a C was the highest grade i could possibly get so a D isn't too bad, still would've liked a C though) but never actually failed. JYD
Naw I've come real close in Geometry and Algebra in HS but never failed. I ended up with like D+'s or some [expletive]. Math isn't my subject.

Also, GPAs aren't all colleges look at. You can have a D in AP Chem for example, and they can possibly treat that the same as a B in honors chem(especially if you pass the AP test). Especially with THREE fails.8th grade I got a D, 9th grade got a D, and 10th grade got a C or B, not sure which. 8th grade obviously doesn't count toward gpa, and whatever my sophomore grade was impacted toward my cumulative GPA for my sophomore AND freshman year. It essentially replaced my bad grade
La Bomba
Got a 65 in English my Freshman year of high school, so I barley passed. It was the hardest class I've ever taken, but it's done wonders for me honestly.

SRV
My 8th grade year, I had a for sure F in social studies....but my teacher liked me enoguh to give me a B on my report card lol I had never gotten lower than a C in any class until I took college algebra this year. I failed it, I knew I was failing it for most of the semester, and I didn't make much of an effort to fix it. It wasn't that I didn't know the material, its that I was worn out by the HW every single week, followed by the quiz, followed by the 10 question test that screws you over with 5 hard questions and 5 medium questions. So either way, I was destined to get a 50 on all my tests unless I put the effort in, and I felt doing HW and quizzes was enough effort, and it wasn't.
