Have you ever failed a class before?

I thought I was going to get less than 60 in my business class this year, and I need 60 to continue in my major. Luckily I got my grade up to a 64. Doing horrible is kind of a blessing in disguise really, serves as a wake up call for sure.

I have never failed, I've been close but I have always recovered, luckily. If I failed a class I think I would be sick, my stomach felt sick when I was failing business this year.

In math, I've retaken the class 3 times. It's not that I'm a dumbass, my gpa is 3.18, I just couldn't figure it out.

btw it wasn't the same class per se, it was the same material just under a different class name.

seeing as it is impossible to fail a class 3 times and still have a 3.18 gpa, your school either recycles failed classes with a pass(meaning your GPA is worthless) or you're lying

10th grade english lol, I completely blew off all the reading and final assignment, honestly I probably should have failed 9th 8th and 7th grade English too lol, had to go to summer school for 6 weeks wasn't that bad tbh the hours I spent going to summer school I would have just used to sleep anyway and I was done and home at 11 am ready to start my day.

My cumulative gpa is 2.8, this years was 3.18. And if my gpa is worthless because of the school, like you said, I guess nobody in my school's going to college?

btw again, failing a math class means below a 70%, just like a foreign language. I've never technically failed a class (grade<59), just retaken it.

failing isn't below a 70 though. Since this is a school district thing, colleges won't even count it as a fail grade. Also, GPAs aren't all colleges look at. You can have a D in AP Chem for example, and they can possibly treat that the same as a B in honors chem(especially if you pass the AP test).

failing and retaking the class pretty much go hand in hand, but I guess if you wanna be right, they aren't technically the same thing.

If you fail and retake a class, most of the time the failing grade will still have some sort of negative effect. Especially with THREE fails.

8th grade I got a D, 9th grade got a D, and 10th grade got a C or B, not sure which. 8th grade obviously doesn't count toward gpa, and whatever my sophomore grade was impacted toward my cumulative GPA for my sophomore AND freshman year. It essentially replaced my bad grade

My 8th grade year, I had a for sure F in social studies....but my teacher liked me enoguh to give me a B on my report card lol

I had never gotten lower than a C in any class until I took college algebra this year. I failed it, I knew I was failing it for most of the semester, and I didn't make much of an effort to fix it. It wasn't that I didn't know the material, its that I was worn out by the HW every single week, followed by the quiz, followed by the 10 question test that screws you over with 5 hard questions and 5 medium questions. So either way, I was destined to get a 50 on all my tests unless I put the effort in, and I felt doing HW and quizzes was enough effort, and it wasn't.
