Built Ford Tough
Excuse me, you must be forgetting that Kreider and Borque were on the team. They were invisible in the game against Canada. EPIC choke job from Canada. Wow, that was brutal.
Universe
I'd love to hear the pep talk Canada got during the second intermission.

Phightins
I remember the Flyers were strongly considering drafting Krieder before they traded the pick away for Chris Pronger. Oh well, no complaints here! But yes....that was epic. Huge choke job regardless of the sport/team. But the fact that it's Canada choking at hockey makes it 1000x bigger. Worst loss for Canadian hockey in the last 20 years? Longer?
Force
Wow...didn't even watch a minute of this since I live in Colombia but I'm still Canadian lol. My facebook got flooded by this...epic choke.

Worst loss for Canadian hockey in the last 20 years? Longer? To be honest, the feel I'm getting is this isn't going to be one of those things people look back on too hard. The motto this year was Code Blue or something like that and even against Norway the chants of "USA" were already being spoken. We beat the USA then added a Gold and Bronze earlier in the day with the U17 and everyone still see's Sidneys golden goal at least once a week. It was a horrible loss but Canada's goaltending has been a problem for a few years now and I really don't get how Olson kept getting so much playing time either. But always love when Russians celebrate, they go nuts!
EastCoastNiner
Give it ten more years and the U.S. will surpass Canada in hockey. It's going to be great. Anyways, what an awesome collapse that was. Edited January 6, 2011 by EastCoastNiner

NomarFachix
And that's how much you watch hockey. Do the preliminary rounds not count as Olympic hockey? Now that's just being picky.

EastCoastNiner
Do the preliminary rounds not count as Olympic hockey? Now that's just being picky. That's exactly what I was referring too, but he couldn't comprehend it. Anyways, this was the biggest choke job in WJC history. .
NomarFachix
Medals count... I'm not arguing that, but that doesn't mean USA didn't beat Canada in a game in the Olympics...
EastCoastNiner
I'm not arguing that, but that doesn't mean USA didn't beat Canada in a game in the Olympics... It's pretty obvious that's what I was saying, just to show he was wrong. It would be the same thing as saying that the New England Patriots beat the New York Giants during the 2007-2008 season. . Universe
When you said USA was going to beat Canada I just assumed you meant where it really mattered but yes Canada got spanked by the USA and then never recovered in Vancouver. Built Ford Tough
The Russian team got kicked off their flight this morning for being too drunk. Those guys sure know how to party and have a good time. Really though, who was the moron that scheduled the flight at 6AM the morning after the Gold Medal game?
