Universe
http://www.netsdaily.com/?p=8433 Devin Harris injured his left ankle in practice on Friday and sat out Saturday’s USA Basketball intra-squad game as a precaution, but Brook Lopez picked up the slack for the Nets in Las Vegas. Lopez scored 18 points on 7-8 shooting, including a three-pointer, and grabbed four rebounds as his Blue team beat the White, 100-81. The performance may have distinguished him from the other young centers there.
Teletopez
So both Harris and Lopez impressed. Harris opened people's eyes on Day 1, and Lopez, who wasn't hitting jumpers he usually made on Day 1, put on a show the next day.

Teletopez
Lopez hit a 3? [expletive] yeah!Well we saw him hit jumpers just inside the arc during the regular season, it was only a matter of time before he started hitting 3's.

Universe
I think the three might have been a Fiba three pointer so that is about his range.
Klashnekoff
^ Yeah it was. However Lopez has a all-star type of future ahead of him. Poor mans Tim Duncan dare i say ..
Teletopez
Lopez and Harris are really opening people's eyes, Lopez especially. Derrick Rose: Rose was outplayed by Devin Harris and Russell Westbrook in Las Vegas but word is the reigning Rookie of the Year's play last season seems to have the U.S. staff leaning in his direction. Rose's explosiveness in the open floor and his penetrating ability in the half court are considered huge assets by Team USA. Devin Harris]: Harris was the most vocal player in camp and showed flashes of the skills that made him an elite defender in Dallas. Harris is ultra quick on offense but the lack of range on his jump shot may inevitably hurt him. Brook Lopez: The most offensively-skilled center in Vegas, Lopez was impressive in the scrimmage, scoring 18 points on an economical 7-8 shooting. Lopez didn't get a lot of touches in practices; but if he takes another step forward next season (Lawrence Frank said he plans to make Lopez a big part of the offense in '09-10), he could emerge as a dark horse candidate. Teletopez
LOL yea.... no.Why not? He's watched Tim Duncan well before he started playing, and he models his game after Duncan's. He has range as well. You make it seem as if he's not a talented player when he put up great numbers with limited touches this past season. He finished third in ROY voting as a center. And now, he's impressing coaches at the mini-camp.
