Lkr
I'm getting local anesthesia on the side of my head via a shot. do shots in the head hurt? for whatever reason it freaks me out, where as a shot in the arm is just a little pinch. Erick Blasco
No, but that sounds terrifying. Just remember the people registering the shots do it all the time and nothing bad happens to other people. You'll be fine. Try to come up with ways to distract yourself though. Celtics3420
i hate needles in general, so that sounds horrifying lol.
Dr. Feelgood
Ouch...Just....That doesn't sound good at all. I would be freaked out as well, though like Erick said, these people do this stuff for a living, so you'll be just fine. Definitely understandable to be a little freaked out. Nitro
Wait...a shot in your head, or a shot in your neck? I have experience with shots to the neck, and they aren't too bad, but I have no idea how a shot in your head would work.
trutrojan8
When I got my appendix taken out, the male nurse at the hospital at like 1 AM told me to turn away, and I heard an oops, and blood was dripping down my arm. Apparently he missed the vein. True story.
s.t.a.t.
I have had an IV miss me before and blood dripped. But never a shot in the head, i dont know how that would even work. I remember, same story about the appendix, I was about to leave the hospital, and they took the IV out. Then they checked my temp, it was like 104 so I had to stay again. They had to reinsert the IV, and since the guy missed the first time and the IV was in my right arm, they had to put it in my forearm. 9x worse than your inner elbow

Owner Real Deal Posted December 28, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted December 28, 2010 Don't feel bad. I've had a numbing shot in my eyeball and eyelid before, some of the worst pain I've ever felt until they pushed the plunger...but the initial pain was crazy, had my head strapped down for it. Sucked. I think the pain was already coming on when I saw the needle getting closer and closer, lol. It won't be as bad as it sounds, though (a shot in the head). They may actually numb the area with a Q-tip, beforehand. They were going to do that with my eye, but they couldn't because of the previous surgery.
