Cleveland's Finest
This might be the worst team in Cavs history, and after an expected average first month (7-10 through November), this team is going into tonight's Bobcats game going for its second win of the month. A 1-13 record in December which includes a home loss to Minnesota, and blowouts at Philly and Minnesota. No one expected this huge of a decline after a solid first month. Looking forward, there aren't any players I can see worth keeping for the long-term future. I like Verajao's hustle and Boobie's grit, but that will only take you so far. Jamison still has another year left on his contract and we've seen Mo's inconsistency (he has even more years left on his contract). Besides talking about our "winning culture", Chris Grant has done nothing. With pretty much little to none desired talent on this team, is there any way to fix this mess? It's about as bad as it gets and it's unwatchable at this point. It's easy to say dump the team and tank for a top five pick, but that'll only get you so far. Nitro
Admit you needed LeBron. Admitting your problem is the first step in recovery. Seriously. I think Gilbert and company truly thought this team was capable of competing without LeBron, and they were dead wrong. They have to blow it up and start piling lottery picks. Check my Stats
I love how LeBron's supposed solid cast is about to have such a [expletive] season. I don't wish it upon the franchise, but just so the haters can see how really bad the players he has been playing with are. Just clean house, cut as much salary as possible, and hope the ping pong balls bring you another LeBron type guy in the next 3 years of being [expletive]ty. I am hoping for the same thing in Toronto. kingfish
The problem is nobody is gonna want to play for Cleveland. After the way Gilbert trashed Lebron, and how Cavs fans burned his jersey, I dont think players gonna want to play there and receive backlash if they decide to leave. Who honestly would want to be thrown into a situation where they have to save Cleveland sports? Thats too much pressure for anyone to ask for. Cleveland is now just considered a laughing stock and a place where Lebron James used to play. I know you guys had a reason to be upset for Lebron leaving, but there was too much backlash and the letter from Gilbert sure didnt help. Im sure now lottery picks are going to be crossing their fingers hoping they dont get stuck in Cleveland.
