magicbalala245
Ron Artest was careful to couch his comments after practice Monday with references to the Lakers playing “as one” and the idea that winning is all that matters. However, Artest was still voicing some complaints with his lack of fourth-quarter usage under Phil Jackson, and it isn’t the first time the issue has irked Artest.“I didn’t even get a chance to be a distraction. I only played 20 minutes,” Artest said about the Lakers’ Christmas loss to Miami. Artest played 21 minutes Saturday, getting two early fouls against LeBron James and being pulled in favor of Matt Barnes. Jackson complained that Artest’s early fouls disrupted the entire playing rotation. In the fourth quarter, as is often the case, Shannon Brown played ahead of Artest — with Jackson looking to maximize Brown’s offensive prowess. The Lakers trailed by nine points entering the fourth quarter and lost by 16. “I thought I played pretty well last game … in limited minutes,” Artest said. “It was unfortunate I couldn’t get off the bench in the fourth quarter. I felt pretty good.”Artest also said: “I was almost having a semi-breakout game. … I was really close to having a breakout game. I felt good the past couple games. It’s just unfortunate I’m not able to work my way off the bench.” at the semi-breakout game

Makaveli
Artest once averaged over 20 ppg.. what the hell has happened to his offense?
magicbalala245
Artest once averaged over 20 ppg.. what the hell has happened to his offense? He was the main option on those teams from the perimeter on teams such Sacramento and Houston (Becuase Mcgrady was always injured). On LA hell he might even be the 3rd option with Odom and Bynum on the team.

Also, he passes up a lot of open 3's for some reason and often it just doesn't seem like he wants to be involved in the offense at all. I expect him to avg at least around 13-15 ppg and quit playing like he's made out of Kwame Brown.
