The Regime
Portland guard Brandon Roy will be sidelined indefinitely with sore knees, it was announced today by General Manager Rich Cho. “Unfortunately, Brandon Roy’s condition has not significantly improved and we’ve decided to hold him out indefinitely,” said Cho. “In the short term, we’re going to proceed with an extended period of rest. Beyond that, we’re looking at all available treatment options to help better determine a course of action.” Roy, 26, has missed nine games this season (three games from Nov. 16-20 and the last six games beginning on Dec. 17) with a sore left knee. http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/70858/20101230/roy_sidelined_indefinitely/
Owner Real Deal Posted December 31, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted December 31, 2010 It's a big deal. I have a friend that has the same exact problems, an excellent basketball player in high school who eventually had to stop playing ball competitively. He doesn't limp around or anything, can't even notice he has a problem, but put him on the court, and he's done after 15-20 minutes of playing, and has pain for 2-3 days after going out and even shooting around. The Regime
Blazers, Roy Consider Ending His Season The Trail Blazers continue to discuss the possibility of shutting down Brandon Roy for the remainder of the season, two sources told Ken Berger of CBS Sports. Portland issued a press release on Thursday announcing that Roy would be out indefinitely. He has missed the team's last seven games and their .500 record has come into play with the decision. Roy said Thursday that surgery was under consideration and confirmed that sitting out the rest of the season was a possibility. "It would not surprise me to see him try to play again," one of the sources familiar with the team's strategy said. "It would not surprise me to see him set a date when he wants to try to play. And it would not surprise me if he doesn't play again this season. ... At this point, anything is a possibility. The doctors and Brandon are ultimately going to make that decision." http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/70866/20101231/blazers_roy_consider_ending_his_season/
Will_THFactory
If the Blazers are looking for a scoring shooting guard, I wouldn't be opposed to the Hawks trading Jamal Crawford to Portland for Camby.
The Truth
that's a shame. the Blazers could have been one of the best teams in basketball. injuries to Oden and Roy destroyed their hopes of becoming champions. since firing Pritchard, things have really gone downhill for them. should they look to trade Roy and Aldridge or press on with this desperate attempt at becoming an elite team? If the Blazers are looking for a scoring shooting guard, I wouldn't be opposed to the Hawks trading Jamal Crawford to Portland for Camby.why does everyone overlook Matthews? he's a great, young shooting guard with loads of potential. he's averaging nearly 16 ppg, he's one of the best three-point shooters in the league this year, and he just scored thirty last night against Utah. why you'd want them to trade for an older, less productive Crawford, who knows? Dr. Feelgood
I would be very against trading LaMarcus. If you would have asked me last season if I wanted to trade Aldridge, I'd be for it but he's shown great maturity and I think he'll finally have the season we've been waiting for him to have. Though, I still see us as a playoff contender, just not a championship contender. I once thought we had the best chance at taking the Lakers in a 7 game series...not now though. It'd be a great 5-6 game series.

Dr. Feelgood
Eh...it's a tough call. I love all those players (have all three of their jerseys), I think I would give them another year. Maybe trade Miller in the right trade to bring in someone else. I don't really know.

Nestle Snipes
I think it's time to blow up the team but I'd like to keep LA out of any of them.
