MainEv3nt
Caron Butler left the Mavericks' game against the Bucks on Saturday night in the first quarter with a left knee injury. The extent of Butler's injury isn't yet known, but Dallas is preparing to be without the forward for an extended period of time. "We're afraid that it's potentially serious," Rick Carlisle said. "We'll find out [sunday] where things are at, probably later in the day." Butler was expected to remain in Milwaukee overnight before returning to Dallas on Sunday. The Mavericks were already playing without Dirk Nowitzki and Shawn Marion. The Regime
A patellar tendon tear will potentially end the year for Butler, that sucks. Looks like the Mavs might be active in trade talks once again. Edited January 2, 2011 by Confidence
AboveLegit
Great, just when they were rolling... Hopefully it isn't season ending and the Mavs get healthy before the playoffs.
ChosenOne
Hopefully it is nothing serious they have been playing great so far this year with him. As for the trade situation I would kinda like them to get active if Butler is out for extended time.
magicbalala245
Damn this sucks for the Mavs. This could drop them a steps back if the injury causes Butler to be out the whole year.
Nestle Snipes
I wish him a full and speedy recovery, I hate to see anyone get injured.
The Truth
man, they've got like eight expiring contracts, including Butler. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Cuban pulled off a blockbuster in the next month or two.
MainEv3nt
The Mavericks could be without Caron Butler for the remainder of the season after he suffered a knee injury on Saturday night, according to a source. Butler's symptoms have indicated that he suffered at least a partial tear of the patellar tendon in his right knee. If it is a partial tear, Butler could be out two months. However, a full tear would end the forward's season. The Mavericks won't know the extent of the injury until they get the results of the MRI Butler had done on Sunday.
