Oh and in Reservoir Dogs too also, he was awesome in it, I love it when they tell him he's Mr Pink LOL.

LMAO classic, classic

Have you seen Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead ? He's great in that movie as well. I love that movie, it's quite unknown but it's very good. I advised it to many people and they all loved it. There are many good actors in it, there's also Christopher Walken, Andy Garcia, John Savage, Chritopher Lloyd... I advise everyone to check it out. If you like movies about mafia you will like it for sure.

I haven't.. hopefully it's on Netflix instant, I'll check it out tonight if so

Last movie I saw was As Good As It Gets

9/10

Really different movie with great acting. Jack and Helen both won Oscars for this movie and they really deserved it. It's such a strange story about a single mother, a gay neighbor, and a really strange author. I usually don't enjoy the dramedy genre but this is so character driven it's just oddly funny.

i saw the hangover part 2. its the same exact thing as the first one for the most part, but I enjoyed it better. there were several parts where it moved a bit slow, and that hurt it.

I loved that movie, htown

Haha man it was so good I don't know why I never saw it earlier but such a memorable performance by those three. Even the little dog.

Went to see Bridesmaids tonight, it was really, really funny. I'd give it a 9.5 out of 10. The fat friend from Gilmore Girls was a riot.

I saw it last week and was extremely surprised. I got dragged along and really didn't want to see it but it's consistently hilarious all the way through. Melissa McCarthy killed it she's starting to get popular through Mike & Molly also, I also was never a big fan of Kristen Wiig from SNL but she was good in it also.

Next one on my list to watch in theaters is The Tree Of Life with Sean Penn and Brad Pitt.

What the [expletive] you didn't watch this movie before ??!! I'm gonna have to bitchslap you for that, I hope that you understand !!!

Well anyhow I watched this movie three of four times and it's quite good indeed. Well it's not as good as Jack's best movies when he was younger... But it's still very nice. I like it a lot as well. Even if I ain't usually very high on romantic movies... Glad you liked it.

Reign of Fire

Third time watching this, really good movie and I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for something different. The sergeant's death was stupid though, seriously what good could come out of running at a dragon with an axe? 8/10

Excellent suspense thriller. Both Al Pacino and Robin Williams do a great job keeping you on the edge all the way through. Christopher Nolan directed this one, everyone knows him for The Dark Knight, Inception, Memento etc but this really is one of his best movies. Did it in 2002 sandwiched between Memento and Batman Begins, if you like suspense this one is perfect. They are streaming it on Netflix for all that have it.

10/10- Thought it was awesome, definitely my favorite movie so far this year. James McAvoy was great as Charles Xavier, his acting was incredible. But I really think Magneto stole the show with his performance, he was definitely my favorite character in the story, and the build up was terrific. The writing was probably the best part of the whole movie, it was just pure genius. The writers did a great job describing the origins of the xmen, and tied it to actual historical events..I was very impressed with that.

Today I watched Stripes.

Very good movie, the ending was a lil weird lol, but overall it was hilarious. Besides Candy and Murray are both among my favorite actors, was great to see them together. Just like it was great to see Murray and Ramis together three years before they made Ghostbusters (which was also directed by Reitman).

So I had overall a very good time, I give it a solid 8.5/10.

Those are probably my favorite scenes, just hilarious :

  • 2 weeks later...

Yesterday I watched Once Upon a Time in America.

http://www.krissweblog.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/once-upon-a-time-in-america.jpg

Wanted to watch this one for a long time but don't why, I didn't watch it before for some reasons... I was glad to be able to find the real version though, the 3 h 39 mn one. Well anyway it was quite a good movie but not as good as I expected though... Was a bit disappointed. Leone's Western are much better in my opinion. I prefer, and by far, A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, Once Upon a Time in the West and even My Name is Nobody which is not as good as the other four I mentioned though...

Well still was a good movie, a bit too long though IMO, I don't mind long movies but they have to be REALLY good. Which is not the case with that one.. Still solid performances from the actors, especially De Niro and it's always good to listen to Morricone's music, even though it's certainly not his best one IMO... Well anyway I'm gonna give it a 7/10.

And today I rewatched Broken Flowers.

http://fmgroovy.blog.bg/photos/4670/original/broken-flowers-02-poster--1-.jpg

A pure masterpiece. Definitely my favorite movie of the 2000's. Well that is, favorite movie not named No Country For Old Men in fact... So rather my second favorite, but right behind No Country.

Jim Jarmusch is among my three favorite filmmakers ever (the other two being the Coens and Scorsese), I just love his movies. It's the kind of movies that you either love or hate. And I definitely LOVE them. Dunno how many times I watched masterpieces like Stranger Than Paradise, Dead Man or Ghost Dog for example...

I'm also a fan of Bill Murray. In that movie he had one of his most serious roles. Just like in the other movie he made with Jarmusch (The Limits of Control ; he also played in a short story of Coffe and Cigarettes by the way ; two other must see movies for sure). So it's quite an unusual role for Bill and the least we can say is that he's just perfect in it.

Anyway I definitely give it a 10/10.

Last movie I saw was MILK

http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm233/lebronze23/milk.jpg

Really interesting film on Harvey Milk a gay activist who really sent a shock wave across the country regarding gay rights issues. He became California's first openly gay elected official.

Sean Penn plays Harvey Milk and he won an Oscar for the role, much deserved. The cast also includes really solid performances from James Franco, Josh Brolin, and Emile Hirsch. It's a real battle Milk has to put up with but his support just keeps growing and growing, he really becomes a voice for the homosexual population around the country.

8/10

Today I watched Catch Me if You Can.

I'm not a huge fan of Di Caprio but this is definitely one of the best movies I've seen with him. Arguably even my favorite. Had a very good time, very good movie. Besides it's always great to see Christopher Walken, one of my very favorite actors ever, he's just perfect in all his roles. I also loved Tom Hanks' joke, one of the best jokes I ever heard for sure lol.

Anyway I give it a very solid 9/10.

Very good movie, very funny, and a lot of great actors. They're all very good in it but my two favorite ones are definitely Jack Black and Tom Cruise who are just beyond hilarious. I give it a 8/10.

Definitely my two favorite scenes :
