The Truth
Mavericks owner Mark Cuban apparently didn't appreciate Lakers coach Phil Jackson offering his opinion about the impact of Caron Butler's knee injury. "He just leaves a vacuum that's going to be very hard for them to fill," Jackson said, according to the Los Angeles Times. Cuban was a bit more talkative while jabbing at Jackson, poking fun at the coach's relationship with Lakers owner Jerry Buss' daughter and team executive VP, Jeanie, in the process. "I love that Jeanie Buss' boy-toy had something to say about us," Cuban said while sweating on the stair-stepping machine in the Mavs' workout room. "I don't know if it was his thought or Jeanie's thought, but it's nice to know that she lets him speak in public about other teams."http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/70949/20110105/cuban_pokes_fun_at_jeanie_buss_boy_toy/#ixzz1A9d9lqNB
Owner Real Deal Posted January 5, 2011 Owner Report Share Posted January 5, 2011 LOL, okay. God forbid he describes Caron as an impact player. He's only the second best player on the team.
Check my Stats
Vacuum is a very odd choice of word.
Big Penny
That was a pretty lame thing to say. I love trash talk, but that was pretty tragic.
Warren2ThaG
Er year Cuban opens his pretty mouth, which doesn't result good in the playoffs.
htown11
LMAO love the comment from Cuban. Phil pushes buttons and is just plain weird, I like that Cuban can add a little comedy to the whole thing. I used to hate Cuban, but if I owned an NBA team I would have some fun on the sidelines, and with the media from time to time. Cuban gets into fan mode at the games which I can respect, an owner who isn't quiet and old.
