andreusito
That's what I think, just look where the Cavs are now, bottom of the league, with the worst record of all teams. He was the most valuable player for his team for sure, and probably of the league too. The Cavs were the top team in the regular season before losing LeBron and Z... Kobe24
Any team will suck if they lose two of their starters including their best player and get nothing in return..
Flash
Seeing them kinda changed my opinion on who the best player in the league is as well. Hard to argue against LBJ when after he leaves that team is so terrible.
Cleveland's Finest
The team was designed to play around LeBron, not to play by themselves. And the best player in the league is Kobe anyways, no contest. Edited January 8, 2011 by Cleveland's Finest
*Swish*
You can lose the respect for LeBron for what he promised to the Cavs but never did it, but you can't lose respect for his talent. This guy deserved the MVP award.
Check my Stats
The team was designed to play around LeBron, not to play by themselves. And the best player in the league is Kobe anyways, no contest. This is seriously the most annoying/worst crutch ever for LeBron haters ever. Just because they can shoot jumpers doesn't make them a competent cast. This team is horrible, and the lack of help is why they got owned every playoffs despite LBJ putting in huge games almost nightly. With this team, LeBron could not have a bad game and win, never. Owner Real Deal Posted January 8, 2011 Owner Report Share Posted January 8, 2011 Best player, and MVP, are two different things. James was the MVP last season because, yes, the Cavaliers were built just for him. Remove the facilitating slasher, and you have a bunch of shooters (Mo, Gibson, Moon, Parker, Jamison, West, even Big Z). You can't expect that team to do ANYTHING when none of them can create their own shot. That's Basketball 101. Stick Wade on today's Cavaliers (and include Big Z), and I'm pretty sure he could win at least 55 games, if not more. James was the second best player in the NBA last year, but a validated MVP award winner. There's nothing to discredit him for...but you can't deny that the Cavs were built around him and would struggle greatly without his facilitating.

Bingo. Teams that have no legitimate 2nd option are doomed in the post-season. The Cavs needed a player besides LeBron who could create their own offense and play with a Gasol-like impact, and they simply didn't have that. Hawks Fly High
Yeah he was deservedly the Regular Season MVP. But seriously, anyone who thought Kevin Durant or Dwight Howard could be MVP were straight up Lebron haters or idiots. Kevin Durant shouldnt have gotten it just because he was the youngest winner of the scoring title winner. Lebron would have that honor anyway if Kobe didnt go ballistic. Dwight also had too little impact on the offensive side.
