The Regime
ESPN - Pro Bowl cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha's contract voided and he will be allowed to become a free agent, according to an NFL Players Association document. The Raiders will not be able to place their franchise tag on Asomugha. Asomugha's deal included a little-known clause that said his contract would void if he didn't achieve certain incentives in 2010. His contract also contained a stipulation that if he didn't achieve his incentives, the Raiders would agree not to designate him their franchise or transition player. http://football.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/20008/20110109/nflpa_document_asomugha_a_free_agent/

The Regime
Far and away the most overrated player in the league In what way is he overrated? He's just as good as advertised, he just doesn't get enough media attention as someone like Revis.

AboveLegit
He's a guy that at 30 years old, is the type of player that a Wildcard team needs to get them over the gap. Two teams that immediately come to mind that desperately needs some help at CB are the Saints and Colts.

I would love to see that list. It's hard enough to argue that he isn't the best corner in the league. No corner outside Revis and Asomugha can lock down their receiver. Flash
Ted Thompson..make it happen. We'd have the nastiest secondary in the league.
JYD
In what way is he overrated? He's just as good as advertised, he just doesn't get enough media attention as someone like Revis.Revis is far better. "Top 12 ish" lmao. I would love to see that list. It's hard enough to argue that he isn't the best corner in the league. No corner outside Revis and Asomugha can lock down their receiver.Yeah I agree. He's definitely a top 5 corner. But Revis is hands down the best in the league.

JYD
I highly doubt that anyone can disagree with you on that point.Revis is probably the best COVER corner since Deion Sanders. In just shutting guys down cover wise the past two seasons, no one has done it better in years.

Flash
Revis is the best cover corner, no doubt. But in terms of playmaking and overall as a football player, you can't leave Woodson out of the discussion.
JYD
Revis is the best cover corner, no doubt. But in terms of playmaking and overall as a football player, you can't leave Woodson out of the discussion.Woodson is a tremendous blitzer, so yes, he's up there in the top 5. Personally I'd rather have Revis because great coverage is more important to me then a CB that can blitz and tackle well. Revis is pretty close to the complete package, and we don't know if he can blitz because they never do with him. For any fools who want to dispute Revis not being a far better cover corner then anyone else in the league, just take a look at last night. Pretty sure Reggie Wayne, probably a top 10 WR in the NFL for the past 5 years on a consistent basis, with a Top 5 QB of all time looking for him, had 1 catch for 1 yard. Pretty impressive if you ask me.

The Great iBoldin
Arguing who's the better corner is arguing semantics. They're both insanely talented and have the tape to back it up.
