All of our prospects stay put. Success.

Yankees reportedly considering calling up Montero in the near future. Adam Warren seems like he would be ready for a call-up at any point as well.

Manny Banuelos promoted to AAA.

Oooh. So on Tuesday, we'll get to see the vaunted Dom Brown vs. Manny Banuelos matchup.

@jnorris427

Six-man rotation is a possibility.

So glad that we didn't deal Montero, I hope we see him very soon. This team gets so much better by simply replacing Posada with Montero and adding Alex in a few weeks

Also lots of rumblings of Banuelos being given the chance to help us this season, I'd be very excited for that too (though he did just turn 20 years old.. holy shit am I excited for this kid!)

On another note, how good has David Robertson been this year? 68 strikeouts in 42.1 IP, with a 1.49 ERA. His step forward has been thoroughly impressive.

David Robertson: 66.2 IP, 1.09 ERA, 100 K.

4 members of the bullpen with sub 2 ERAs.. David Robertson 1.08, Luis Ayala 1.64, Cory Wade 1.85, Mariano Rivera 1.91.

5 guys who played crucial roles on this team were signed via minor league contracts: Bartolo Colon, Freddy Garcia, Eric Chavez, Cory Wade, and Luis Ayala. Amazing.

Ten years ago today, the Yankees and Diamondbacks played in Game 4 of the 2001 World Series. Down 3-1 with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Yankees were one out away from trailing the series 3-1. Tino Martinez was up with one man on base, and he hit a game-tying homer to centerfield, causing Yankee Stadium to erupt. The game went into extras, and the clock struck midnight... the first time baseball was ever played in November. Jeter came up to the plate with two outs in the bottom of the tenth and hit a game-winning solo shot into right field off Byung-Hyun Kim to tie the series at two games apiece.

I was at that game. First row, right field. Jeter's ball fell no more than 5 feet in front of me.. can still see myself when they show the replay of the walkoff.
