The Goods
Agent Raymond Brothers said ex-Pacers point guard Jamaal Tinsley has interest in signing with the Heat but cannot speak with teams until Tinsley clears waivers Wednesday. There are mixed views inside the Heat about Tinsley. Miami has considered adding a cheap veteran point guard, but still has concerns about Allen Iverson and had not inquired about free agents such as Bobby Jackson, Tyronn Lue and Brevin Knight. http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/columnists/barry-jackson/story/1157756-p2.html Edited August 3, 2009 by The Goods
platoon793
Not sure what to think. He wouldn't really hurt our team, and he could probably teach Chalmers some things. Not sure how well he can still play though.
The Goods
Tinsley To Meet With Heat This WeekendJamaal Tinsley is expected to meet with Heat president Pat Riley over the weekend. "I gave my word to Pat Riley that he could meet with Jamaal before we made any commitment," Tinsley's agent, Raymond Brothers, told ESPN.com. The Knicks and Grizzlies are interested in Tinsley as well. The free-agent point guard had a meeting with Knicks general manager Donnie Walsh, his former boss in the Indiana, on Wednesday. http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/60905/20090731/tinsley_to_meet_with_heat_this_weekend/
andreusito
A scheduled meeting between Jamaal Tinsley and the Miami Heat has been canceled. Agent Raymond Brothers declined to give a reason but said, "canceling the meeting had nothing to do with Jamaal Tinsley." He did not rule out the possibility of conversations with Miami being revived. On Thursday, Brothers said Riley and Tinsley were scheduled to meet, and that Tinsley had interest in signing with the Heat.http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/60915/20090731/tinsleys_meeting_with_heat_canceled/
Flash
I'm all for it. When he's healthy and out of trouble Tinsley is a very good player.
The Goods
Miami Remains An Option For Tinsley Despite a canceled meeting this weekend, it appears as though Miami is still a possible landing spot for Jamaal Tinsley. "Based on everything I know, Tinsley's agent (Raymond Brothers) canceled the weekend meeting with the Heat. But the sides are still talking," ESPN's Marc Stein wrote on his Twitter page. Stein added that Tinsley is believed to be looking for a one-year deal, probably either with the Heat or Knicks, so that he can re-enter free agency next summer. http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/60942/20090803/miami_remains_an_option_for_tinsley/#
